The design of the hotel is awesome.. we were at the Bahia Vik and went to Playa Vik (5min walk in the same beach) to enjoy the sunset and have dinner. it is the definitely the most beautiful property in Jose Ignacio... the swimming pool is amazing and the sunset there is unbelievable. The restaurant is really nice and they offer a five course menu that was great.. strongly recommend it. The only downside is the access to the beach.. (Bahia Vik location is better)

We stayed for 5 nights and loved every minute! Great art, wonderful views, fantastic staff! We wholeheartedly concur with many of the other positive reviews that mention the personal service and attention to guests’ needs and desires. There is a small gym that we swore we would make use of (didn’t go once), beach was very accessible and great for walking. We found it too cold to swim in but many others were in the water every day. Breakfast was nice and included waffles that you can make yourself, lots of fresh fruit and eggs prepared any way you liked. The architecture is very stark and modern which we liked very much. Our room looked out over the infinity pool with a wonderful panoramic view of the beach as well. The small beach town of Jose Ignacio is within walking distance and is filled with small boutiques and restaurants as well as art galleries. Small complaints - quality of the linens was so-so for such an immaculate property, and some days they forgot to replenish our bath amenities. They charge you for the shuttle service to nearby restaurants - not a large amount but we were told it wasn’t complimentary. The area itself is spectacular with many first rate restaurants. There are four other Vik properties and we recommend they make this one, the smallest, adults only. This is an intimate property where you get to know other guests and we found it intrusive to have large families spend the day at the property, where depending upon the size of the party, the entire pool area could be held hostage. We would definitely stay at a Vik property again.

We had five nights here, the first in a house because the a/c in our allocated room was being repaired. House was fine and spacious. Once in our room we had amazing views overlooking the beach and pool . Spacious with lovely bed and furniture but some renovation needed. The wooden floors were badly scratched and scuffed. The wooden hand basins and the wood surround to the shower were badly stained and needed replacing/repairing. The a/c never seemed quite right. Huge sliding windows from our suite opened out on to stunning views but we couldn't leave them open as there was no mosquito panels. Lovely staff. Brilliant infinity pool. Fabulous art everywhere .

Ratio from price to quality left a lot to be desired... We needed a place last minute & apparently had the last room at 1,500 € for the one night. The staff were helpful & accomadating as so they should be especially at that price. Total lack of atmosphere.. the dining room was like a bad lounge at a provincial airport. We would not want to stay here again even at a more reasonable price.
