We stayed here on a golf trip. The golf course is very good, although extremely difficult, but, with some stunning views. Our accommodation was excellent. However, I have marked this resort down for the following reasons: 1. It lacked customer empathy and failed to demonstrate a proactive approach to visitors queries (nothing serious, but disappointing). 2. There appears to be a lack of investment in the resort and there are signs of incomplete properties and some falling into disrepair. 3. The restaurant is grossly over-priced and pretty average. 4. On returning from trips the bar tends to close earlier than stated. On a more positive note, the breakfast experience was outstanding! If I returned, I would stay at the Blacksearama resort which offered my group a much better customer experience.

Only played golf at Thracian Cliffs, so can't comment on any other aspects of the resort. We had been told by a few people who had played it before how hard it was and that we should take a copious amount of spare balls. However, whilst admittedly it was fairly tough it was also very playable and fair, even for a high 24 handicapper like me (I only lost 6 balls). The views are amazing, the condition is excellent, there isn't a poor or even average hole on the course. Plus we saw next to nobody else whilst playing so we could really enjoy the occasion without being rushed or waiting around. The course is absolutely fantastic - if you can play it I highly recommend you do, honestly you won't be disappointed.

All we did here was play golf, so I can't really comment on the spa side of things. However, the course is fantastic, really great to play. We were never really held up at any point and everything is driven towards making your round perfect. You get a mobile phone, which you can use to call the drinks buggy if you need it and haven't seen it for a while, clubs cleaned at the club house etc. Rooms are comfortable, although single beds a tad narrow! If youre a golfer looking to go, Id say don't hesitate. Weather in May was good too. No rain, very sunny first day, played in shorts all three days.

I travelled specifically from Varna to spend a day at the Bendida Beach – the beach at Thracian Cliffs available for non-resort guests. This resort is one of the most expensive places in Bulgaria, so if you keep that in mind, you can have a very pleasant stay. From the upper parts of the resort you get spectacular views of the sea and the golf course. You park for free and then a golf cart picks you up and takes you down to the beach. No walking is allowed since the road is narrow and steep, so you have to wait for the next available shuttle. The beach itself has fine white sand, and turquoise-milkish water due to the limestone coast. It is beautiful! There aren’t too many sunbeds, so a reservation for weekends and holidays is a must. On arrival you pay 35lv for two sunbeds, umbrellas and towels. It is twice as much as what you’d pay elsewhere in Bulgaria, but totally worth it. Here you are at an exclusive beach, decorated with palm trees and oleanders, free wifi, nice and soft sunbeds and amazing scenery. They also have a small sport center where you can rent watersport equipment for a reasonable price. 25 lv for an hour of stand-up paddle is more than enough. There is a restaurant as well, but we didn’t eat there since we wanted to explore the White Lagoon as well. Next time I am in Bulgaria, provided I have access to a car, I will definitely come back.
