Reviews for Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort
I travelled specifically from Varna to spend a day at the Bendida Beach – the beach at Thracian Cliffs available for non-resort guests. This resort is one of the most expensive places in Bulgaria, so if you keep that in mind, you can have a very pleasant stay. From the upper parts of the resort you get spectacular views of the sea and the golf course. You park for free and then a golf cart picks you up and takes you down to the beach. No walking is allowed since the road is narrow and steep, so you have to wait for the next available shuttle. The beach itself has fine white sand, and turquoise-milkish water due to the limestone coast. It is beautiful! There aren’t too many sunbeds, so a reservation for weekends and holidays is a must. On arrival you pay 35lv for two sunbeds, umbrellas and towels. It is twice as much as what you’d pay elsewhere in Bulgaria, but totally worth it. Here you are at an exclusive beach, decorated with palm trees and oleanders, free wifi, nice and soft sunbeds and amazing scenery. They also have a small sport center where you can rent watersport equipment for a reasonable price. 25 lv for an hour of stand-up paddle is more than enough. There is a restaurant as well, but we didn’t eat there since we wanted to explore the White Lagoon as well. Next time I am in Bulgaria, provided I have access to a car, I will definitely come back.

The course will reward you with breathtaking views on each hole, have a rather big supply of golf balls though:-) Just in case... You have to ride a buggy, as the distances between holes, both lateral as well as vertical, are huge. Tho hotel apartments are very nice, modern, clean and ours had a terrace. Both restaurants that we have tried are very good, food was delicious. The beach is a bit far away and one needs to wait a rather long time for a shuttle...but on the other hand it is nice and clean, was definitely not crowded.

We've decided rather sudden for Thracian cliffs, having three good references and we visited in the end of Sep. We have our 3 yr boy with us, so the apartment structure with two bedrooms separated by a large living, with separate bathrooms and all was perfect. We enjoyed the beaches a lot, especially if you can grab a tent/mini bungalow. Was not crowded at all (but far of being full season). Small, cozy, good food (not fancy). We took as fun the fact that you can reach the beaches just by Golf Buggy (take care, the biggest beach is rather far away and you have to walk a long long slope) others may see this as a problem. For dinner we had 3-4 options (including on the beach), also a restaurant out of the resort (they arrange transport) with a beautiful view (food was fair but not impressive). If you look for loud music, nightlife etc. this is NOT the place, only entertainment is a life music place. About golf, we don't play (yet) but looks very good, a lot of players and buggies, so I expect is good quality. As a final recommendation, if you look on the Black Sea coast for a calm, enjoyable, real 4+ stars with a good price/performance (much much better than RO offering), you should try Cliffs. Take care, during summer weekends it can be very crowded, reserve in advance golf, restaurant etc.

Probably the best golf experience offered in the region. Top location offering mix of business and leisure features. Great views, perfectly located bars, top service all you need for a high end golf holiday is there. Will definitely go again.
Pleasant surprise on all counts! Stunning cliff top setting with the most beautiful golf course views. Great food, wonderful spa, very comfy family rooms, away from popular Black Sea busy areas but not too far from Varna. There's a room for improvement in service,'à la soviétique', but it was expected and the staff is very kind, tho not always comfortable with English. Good value for money in Europe!
