Mosquito Infested Room in “Luxury Hotel”
It started with broken AC at check-in. We didn’t complain or request a room change because they put window AC units in and we don’t like to complain. But swatting at mosquitoes and trying to sleep while hearing buzzing is at a different level. We would have been better in a tent with netting in Acadia! We complained at the front desk throughout and were told maintenance would be sent. No follow-up was provided for what they did (if anything), and the mosquitoes got worse! Management did nothing to apologize or compensate us for the terrible experience. At checkout, the receptionist said it “wasn’t the experience they hope for” and that prior to finalizing the bill, she would talk to the managers and they would call. We never heard from anyone and they put through the full charge the next day. It’s a beautiful area, but find another hotel because this doesn’t live up to Auberge reputation.

Ideal place to return to again and again!
The White Barn Inn is Auberge understated elegance perfectly mixed with New England and specifically Maine's laid back vibes. The food truly is consistently exceptional and the staff epitomizes genuine hospitality. The beach is a short pleasant walk away and there is a lovely pool area to quietly read or enjoy the pleasant company of fellow guests. I promise you will want to return!

Almost wonderful
The boathouses are lovely and charming. Will come with quirks like the phones not working so good luck getting the main house to answer your outside phone call on the first try. Would have preferred to have more attentiveness all around, especially for the price of the rooms.

Great time at White Barn
We had a wonderful time at the White Barn Inn. The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are well equipped. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food at both White Barn and Little Barn is incredible! After dinner sitting outside around the fire pit was a lovely addition! The hotel is conveniently located near the beach and town where there are restaurants and shopping. The Inn also puts Mercedes cars at your disposal to go anywhere else. Check in and out was a breeze.

Worth a trip for the food alone.
Beautiful property near beaches and town. Excellent food. Gracious staff. Pretty quiet except for some construction work going on.
