Was a beautiful inn, someone decided to remove so many of the antique lamps, tables, chairs etc. Replaced with IKEA type furnishings. Beginng to think this auberge group is out for the max dollars. Starting think it's time to avoid this group of hotels. Little concern for quality and individuality, just squeeze the profit. The atmosphere has changed. Too bad.

A mixed experience. First the pros: - staff were all lovely - dinner in the main restaurant was really good - excellent fresh food. We were very happy with this. - nice touches such as complimentary drinks and snacks in the room, complimentary coffee and a small pastry brought to your room each morning and cookies in the sitting room. Now the cons: - we stayed in one of the garden rooms and there were serious sound proofing issues: you could hear traffic on the nearby road, next doors’ TV and music, people sitting outside on the lawn VERY clearly. The walls are so thin, this is a real issue.m that they really need to address. - the smaller of the 2 restaurants (where breakfast was served) was a bit drab and soul-less (food was good though so not the end of the world). Also acoustic issues if you’re in at the same time as a large party/small children made it unideal if you wanted a peaceful meal. - house-keeping was so-so. Room still wasn’t done by 4pm without asking reception. - pool area felt very small and drab. The pool was heated which was nice, but the ambience meant we didn’t ever use it. On hot days it was quite busy, so perhaps we are just particular! All in all, it was a good overall experience but we would think hard before staying again.

Dreamiest resort ever ! The room they gave us was spectacular ! Incredibly spacious and perfectly decorated . The pool is a super chill hang out and also impeccably maintained . They had a collection of Mercedes they just lend out for free to their guests so we borrowed the Maybach and drove it into town feeling totally glamorous for dinner one evening . They even have these beautiful bikes which we also took into town . The hotel is perfectly situated between the super chic downtown area brimming with restaurants and shops and also gooches beach which was the highlight for our dog who got to swim freely during certain hours of the day . The restaurant at the inn is superb in every way . The servers are all super super sweet and hospitable the food on par with three star Michelin restaurants we’ve frequented in the past . The breakfast served in their smaller restaurant was also an absolute delight . Best breakfast menu ever ! You have to try the lobster Benedict . And the lobster had as my entree at dinner , which I’ll share photo of in a bit was the best I’ve ever had in my life . If I could give this place a million stars I would . I can’t even begin to tell you how much we enjoyed the Maine leg of our annual doggie summer vacation all because of the White Barn Inn . Do not stay anywhere else in Maine . If you are a hotel connoisseur/ snob as we are , you’ll understand why . Lots of love to the entire staff who were so sweet and doting on us and our doggie Bailey ! She definitely has been pleading to go back . Woof woof 🐶

My first visit to White Barn Inn could not have been more memorable!! From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the inn’s charm. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated—the rooms were beautiful, the staff warm and inviting, and the location perfect. We biked into town and to the beach several times (so easy to get around!) and also loved having the complimentary cars to take out for dinners and exploring—such a huge perk. The concierge team was truly outstanding. They helped us plan every detail of our stay—securing dinner reservations, recommending the perfect lunch spots, booking spa appointments, and even arranging our sailing tour with Pineapple Ketch (a highlight of the trip!). Their guidance made everything feel effortless and ensured we experienced the very best of Kennebunk. The dining experience was another highlight. We loved breakfast and lunch at Little Barn and dinner at White Barn—each meal was exceptional. Service was attentive and fun, and it was clear the team genuinely cares about creating special moments for their guests. As a travel advisor, I’m always looking for properties that combine luxury with authenticity, and White Barn Inn embodies that perfectly. It’s an ideal retreat for couples looking for a romantic escape (like us!) or for travelers who want a historic, centrally located spot with outstanding service and amenities. We left already talking about when we’d return—a sure sign of a five-star stay. I’ll be recommending White Barn Inn to both my clients and fellow travelers!

From the time of booking until checking out, communication was seamless and our stay was flawless. The White Barn Inn reflects the New England vibe The hotel is quaint and stylish. We stayed in a junior suite. The room was perfect for myself and my adult daughters. Bathroom was large and roomy. The hotel is a short walk to Dock Square and Ocean Avenue. We also found the walk to Goose Rocks Beach pleasant (you can use bikes from White Barn Inn) We also took advantage of their Prix Fixe Dinner Menu which includes a starter, In Between, Main and dessert. The food was superb as was the service. They have a wonderful beverage selection as well. The care and dedication of every employee was evident. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee and pastries delivered every morning in a picnic basket and a special treat every night from dessert to oils. We took advantage of their serene and peaceful pool area with food and beverage service. Finally, the flowers outside are beautiful and well maintained by their gardeners. Highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant!
