Reviews for Kenwood Inn and Spa
I’m in love w the ambiance of this beautiful inn. Love the grounds, the landscaping and the the quaint little areas to sit and just enjoy. Nice pool. Hot tub a bit cloudy for our entire stay. Room is a great size w beautiful shower and fireplace. However, we were very disappointed with the spa being closed due to renovation. Had we known, we would have booked somewhere else. We wanted the couples rooftop massage. After sending two emails and calling, I was told two different things. Finally found out they have a room converted and could still do it but it would be w a different ambiance. Not happy but agreed. Sent two emails trying to schedule a day and time and the lady, I was corresponding w just stopped answering after I asked about a certain day and time. So we checked in and the desk clerk said she could schedule. I said ok, we want two facials and the couples massage. She then informed me facials were not available at all due to renovation. Soooo disappointing. We were looking forward to an entire spa day relaxing before my husbands surgery. Staff were not responsive nor apologetic. Their loss. They lost about $1200-1300 in spa treatments from us. I would love to come back in the future but with lack of customer service, I’m not sure we will return. I’m told the Fairmont has a wonderful spa.

This is a magnificent property in a beautiful location. Regretfully they had to close after the horrible fires that devastated the area in October 2017, primarily from "smoke damage". My thoughts are that they took advantage of any insurance money that might have been available to try and remodel the place. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are more than happy to assist with any request. Nevetheless, there was a nagging feeling that this was a bit like "Fawlty Towers" - trying too hard to be five star when the facility was not up to scratch. Example - pool is gorgeous and heated, but jacuzzi wasn't working. Breakfast room (alongside an open kitchen) was full of smoke from the cooking). The place is not cheap - depending on weekday or weekend it ranges from $270 to over $400 for one night. They need to get their act together before we return, because we would love to return.

My wife and I stayed here in late September. The staff where excellent... Scarlett was AWESOME!! The resort is secluded and quiet. But next to some really nice wineries. A good place to relax after a day of wine tasting. Will be coming back
This place is absolutely wonderful - huge luxurious rooms with fireplaces, they greet you at the front desk with glasses of champagne, lovely breakfast, all five star! Feels like a tuscan villa. This is our favorite hotel in the area and we are relieved to hear they were OK after the horrific fires. Only downside is they no longer serve food after breakfast -- which they used to do. It was super convenient after a day of winery visits to stay in for dinner!

My husband and I came here for our last quiet vacation before our baby is born, and it was lovely. We were warmly greeted at check-in with sparkling wine (very sad that only my husband could partake in that part) and given a tour of the hotel. Our room was spectacular and very clean. We stayed in room 17 on the 2nd floor and had a private front patio, a large room with a fireplace, and a bathroom with a ginormous bath tub and walk in shower. The hotel property was gorgeous. I spent a lot of my time out by the pool. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but you can have someone drop off snacks and drinks while you lounge. They also provide breakfast every morning from 8-10. I'm vegan and was able to find a couple of items to eat. My only gripe about the room is that it didn't have a small fridge to chill the wine we had purchased earlier in the day/store any left overs from dinner. But other than that, everything was absolutely perfect. Our time there was cut short due to the wildfires that began on our last night there. I want to say how great the woman who came and woke us up was. She was very calm and made sure that everyone on the property knew what was going on. There was no power or wifi and most everyone was asleep (this was around 2 a.m), so I want to commend her publicly on her excellent job of waking up everyone and getting us out of harms way! I hope to visit this wonderful property again someday.
