Kenwood Inn and Spa in Kenwood, California

Rising from the vines of Sonoma's lush vineyards is the intoxicating Kenwood Inn and Spa, a luxurious California wine country retreat fashioned after a Mediterranean villa. Kenwood is a relaxing 29-room sanctuary where guests are pampered beyond belief. Guest room comforts are never-ending with romantic fireplaces, plush featherbeds cloaked in Italian linens, full baths, ambient lighting and twice-daily housekeeping service. The grounds are equally splendid with lush courtyards, a pair of outdoor swimming pools, sunning terraces, and a steam room and hot tub. It is no wonder why Hollywood A-listers consider Kenwood Inn and Spa their own personal pied-ŕ-terre.

Kenwood's restaurant features an ŕ la carte menu of classic Italian dishes, served by a rustic fireplace and wood-burning oven during winter, and doors that open up onto the verdant courtyard during the warmer seasons. Each morning you will awake to a complimentary breakfast made with an array of fresh ingredients acquired from the fields of local farmers. Discover endless daytime adventures, such as a stroll through historic Sonoma Plaza flanked with tiny shops and bistros. After a day of wine tasting, retreat to the Spa at Kenwood, where "vinotherapy" is administered using products infused with red wine extracts as well as chardonnay and Riesling oils that are both soothing and beneficial to the body. Celebrate the end of another delightful day inside the inn's intimate wine bar where you can toast your good fortune with fellow guests.

This place is amazing! It was just the most relaxing, beautiful getaway. The rooms are lovely and the overall feel of the property is perfect. In addition to the physical appearance/feel, I could not possibly say enough about the staff. Every person that we interacted with was sweet and helpful. I could tell you something positive about every single one. The most outstanding, that I must mention by name, is Maggie. She is the concierge and took such special care to help us design a perfect trip. I do not know what we would have done without her recommendations! She was so wonderful! We will definitely be back!!

Great central location for venturing out wine tasting. The courtyard and grounds overall were gorgeous! Room was spacious, clean and private. Loved coming back from a day of visiting wineries to relax in the hot tub. Complimentary wine and cheese tasting every afternoon at the Inn. Fireplaces scattered about made the cooler days cozy. Wish we had time to take in a massage. Maggie recommended some amazing wineries to try and even packed and shipped bottles we had purchased home for us. Need to get back here for a longer stay next time.

We LOVED this place and definitely plan to return. It has a kind of Tuscan look. The grounds are lush and well-maintained. The staff is very well-trained. For example, whenever we walked by when the gardeners were in the midst of working, they stopped until we passed through. I appreciated that. The grounds and rooms are so gorgeous and comfortable, that spent most of our time on the property lounging, enjoying the hot pool, the main swimming pool, sitting under the umbrellas, reading on the private deck outside our room or next to the fireplace in our spacious room and enjoying the wine and cheese reception in the evening. We have stayed at several Four Sisters Inns and all are wonderful. This one is the tops!

Wow!!! We LOVED this place!!! Beautiful setting.....beautiful grounds and rooms! I have read other reviews that say some of the rooms are outdated, but ours was not! So I guess that is something to clarify before booking? We had a gorgeous room facing the main road but in the back section and it was noise from the highway as I read in another review....very quiet and peaceful. Loved the fireplace and music playing when we walked in(only request next time would be more than one CD to play!!). The staff was friendly and the food service was definitely special--loved that it was a small, healthy selection as opposed to a big, fattening display--just perfect! We would definitely visit again!!!!!!!!

We loved everything about this place. It's a bit off of the beaten path if you're visiting Napa Valley, but worth the drive. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised at the gorgeous grounds. Everything was just beautiful! The staff was great. The rooms were beautiful and the little details that they are sure to include sat this place apart from some others. Freshly baked cookies in the reception area, a letter explaining the amenities addressed to us and waiting on the bed, the fire place lit and music playing in our room. After check in, we were invited to join others for a wine tasting that included cheeses, cracker and nuts. The pool and hot tub areas were lovely. The bathroom was fabulous. Very large jetted tub and huge shower. The only thing that I could list as a negative is that they do not have TVs in the room. While I totally get the reason behind why they don't have them, it is nice to have the option to flip a TV on when settling in by the fire and relaxing with your significant other. All in all, I would highly recommend this place! I don't think you'll be sorry.
