I stayed here in 2006 and loved it. So, decided to revisit the Inn. Guess what?! I still love it!!! Very quaint, cute, well decorated, with delicious food / wine reception and amazing breakfast buffet!! The room was large, well appointed, with a huge shower and jacuzzi tub!!! I was in Room #29. Secluded, quiet, gorgeous!!! I will be back!!

We were so delighted to see that the Kenwood Inn and Spa had reopened after the California wildfires, last October. We feared that our secret hideaway in the Sonoma Wine Country, might not have survived the incident. We were delighted to learn that Kenwood Inn and Spa were not victims of the fire, but did take the opportunity to do some extensive remodeling and updating. The property is even more exquisite and refined. This property is a rare jewel. On two occasions, we have reserved the entire property for our private weekend guests. Very intimate. Unforgettable.

Spent 2 nights in this lovely Sonoma inn. Exceptionally informative and helpful concierge staff. Breakfast buffet with eggs and lovely pastries and the Magic hour’ wine and cheese is a delightful way to meet fellow travellers and exchange thoughts about wineries. Welcoming room with great wifi as almost no cellular connection. Too cool and rainy for us to appreciate pool or hot tubs unfortunately Great Spot to hop off and see the Sonoma wine region

I’m in love w the ambiance of this beautiful inn. Love the grounds, the landscaping and the the quaint little areas to sit and just enjoy. Nice pool. Hot tub a bit cloudy for our entire stay. Room is a great size w beautiful shower and fireplace. However, we were very disappointed with the spa being closed due to renovation. Had we known, we would have booked somewhere else. We wanted the couples rooftop massage. After sending two emails and calling, I was told two different things. Finally found out they have a room converted and could still do it but it would be w a different ambiance. Not happy but agreed. Sent two emails trying to schedule a day and time and the lady, I was corresponding w just stopped answering after I asked about a certain day and time. So we checked in and the desk clerk said she could schedule. I said ok, we want two facials and the couples massage. She then informed me facials were not available at all due to renovation. Soooo disappointing. We were looking forward to an entire spa day relaxing before my husbands surgery. Staff were not responsive nor apologetic. Their loss. They lost about $1200-1300 in spa treatments from us. I would love to come back in the future but with lack of customer service, I’m not sure we will return. I’m told the Fairmont has a wonderful spa.

This is a magnificent property in a beautiful location. Regretfully they had to close after the horrible fires that devastated the area in October 2017, primarily from "smoke damage". My thoughts are that they took advantage of any insurance money that might have been available to try and remodel the place. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are more than happy to assist with any request. Nevetheless, there was a nagging feeling that this was a bit like "Fawlty Towers" - trying too hard to be five star when the facility was not up to scratch. Example - pool is gorgeous and heated, but jacuzzi wasn't working. Breakfast room (alongside an open kitchen) was full of smoke from the cooking). The place is not cheap - depending on weekday or weekend it ranges from $270 to over $400 for one night. They need to get their act together before we return, because we would love to return.
