We. just returned from our fifth trip to Ketchum/Sun Valley area, and once again, the Knob Hill Inn was our perfect retreat. From the charming chalet-style exterior to the warm, inviting lobby, this place feels like a home away from home. The location of the Knob is ideal for walking into town-so convenient! The on-site Grill Restaurant serves delicious dinners, and the continental breakfast is a great start to the day. The Knob is pet-friendly. Our dog was welcomed with treats and adorable little bowls. The rooms are spacious ,immaculately clean, with great views. Noise is not a problem, quiet and Peaceful. The team is exceptional, friendly, attentive and truly dedicated to making your stay special. We look forward to our spring visit!!

I give it a 3.5 rating, if even that. How can a hotel located in extreme climates (hot in summer and cold in winter) not have central AC/Heat, or even a thermostat to regulate? There's literally an old, small vent on the wall/s that you have to turn a dial for either high blowing heat or lower blowing heat, and then a great big noisy, portable air-conditioning system (an afterthought). No way to easily regulate anything. We had to sleep with the sliding glass door open to keep it cooled off in the room, and my spouse was scared with the door open because we were literally overlooking a cemetery. The suite and room were extremely outdated and the whole hotel is in need of a many multi-million dollar refurbishment and they know it. Alternatively, we took a nice trip today to the Sun Valley Lodge and what a magnificent place that was. We toured the rooms as well, and they have central AC/heat controlled by a thermostat- much nicer, and the whole place was absolutely magnificent. That's where we will stay next time. And the nearby Limelight Hotel looked great also.

The staff and accommodations are excellent! The complimentary breakfast is a wonderful touch and provides great options for the guests. The rooms are clean and cozy. Little touches like fresh water and snacks in the hallway are appreciated. Housekeeping does a great job also! Overall, Knob Hill Inn is a wonderful hotel that we will visit again next time we are in Ketchum.

Sitting at the edge of town, this picturesque Ketchum, Idaho Inn looks like something you might find in the Austrian Alps or Bavaria. Plush accommodations provide all the comforts necessary and a half-walled balcony provides private views of the magnificent surrounding landscape. Consistent with European Alpine Inns, breakfast is included, except that in the case of The Knob Hill Inn it's made to order, rather than a buffet. The Grill boasts a creative kitchen with an extensive wine list. Since we are not skiers, our stays over the past 15 years have always been timed either before and/or after the ski season.
