About the Hotel

With 148 Conch-style waterfront and garden view rooms, suites and cottages, recently revamped Parrot Key Resort is the epitome of a classic dignified beach community just off the bustling Key West Duval Street and Historic Old Town. The property encompasses 5 acres of neatly landscaped tropical grounds, an internationally acclaimed sculpture garden and swaying palm trees. Mangroves and bougainvillea skirt the powdery beach, which edges the Gulf of Mexico. Gleaming white trim, picket fences and comfy porches with colorful Adirondack chairs made for leisurely lounging set the bucolic tone. Extra roomy accommodations are decorated in cheery pastels with chic handmade wooden furniture and wicker loungers. Notwithstanding the nostalgic beach cottage atmosphere, tech amenities abound in each room: there is property-wide complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access, a flat-screen television, DVD player and premium cable service. Bathrooms have walk-in showers and original artwork adorns the walls.

Perfection at Parrot Key

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Phenomenal as always! It was a short stay for us this time but always is a great experience when we stay at Parrot Key. This tropical Key West gem is perfect for groups, families, couples, singles ... they have all the necessary components to make every guest want to to return. I always enjoy walking in my room as the decor and the overall feel of the rooms here is beachy sophistication with high end amenities. It feels like your own private key west cottage. The general manager, Steven Mungall, and his team do a fantastic job of making you feel at home and are attentive to your every need (thank you Ashlee!). We will be back soon!

Gorgeous hotel. Gorgeous view. Lots to do. From the friendly staff to the helpful concierge. The food and drinks at the hotel was awesome, the 4 pools to choose from were amazing.

Honeymoon 2023

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Trip started with a warm welcome at the front desk. This place had 4 pools which meant there was a lot of privacy. I liked how private it felt on the grounds and the little villas were so cute. We had a room that was labeled as "water view", the view of the water was rather obstructed and it would have been nice to have more of a view of the water.

Cute and quaint !

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We arrived for a two week tropical vacation. The rooms were cute and quaint. Loved the front porch with chairs, a the picket fences everywhere. They were so charming. The grounds were lush with greenery, which was also very lovely. I liked that there signs labeling the different tropical plants and where they were from, Drawbacks were lack of space to hang clothes, and unpack your things. Bed was quite hard. Sometimes the service was lacking. Heads up that they charge a mandatory 18% tip in the restaurant. Whether or not they give good service. Just a note. My husband and I always tip according to service. If the service isn’t there, we should not be required to tip 18%. Also a mandatory 38.00 per day for your room. I don’t know if that is for the room cleaners or why they charge it. However, they totally missed cleaning our room one day. We wound up making our own bed. The floor was sticky from the time we arrived, but we thought that the cleaners would eventually get it cleaned up, but sadly it wasn’t, so it wasn’t great to walk around without shoes. We also tip our room cleaners everyday, but because of the charges, we didn’t feel compelled to tip them either. The meaning of gratuity… money given as a gift for good service, and it should be given at the discretion of the person receiving the service. Not something that is demanded. That being said, our stay was good. But definitely could have been better. A very special shout out to the one person who stood out leagues above the others, thank you so much Marcus for your lovely service, and your helpful bits of information about Key West! All in all our vacation was nice!
