Who doesn't like chocolates on your pillow after an evening of dining in "The Ocean Room" or walking the beach at night? This resort is designed to help you forget where you came from and where you left your worries. Yes, it's first class but there is nothing pretentious about it. The staff is there to make sure you, the guest, have everything you might need and there is nothing too small or large that they can not deliver. The grounds are meticulously manicured and the hotel is pristine. The main areas are beautifully decorated with gorgeous artwork along with fresh flowers that are changed out as the day progresses. You will feel like royalty without all the fuss of the paparazzi. We were fortunate to stay in one of the suites that face the ocean directly. The balcony was large and had seating for two and a small table for wine and snacks. Beach umbrellas and chaise lounge chairs with soft cushions and fresh towels were available for guests at the beach and drink service was also available. We were there for only (2) nights so we did not enjoy everything that was offered. Of course, there is golf, biking, tours, kid activities, spa services, boutiques and much more. We will definitely return.

From the moment you check in you are treated as a valued guest. Came with my wife for a anniversary and they went over the top for us in many ways. Before you arrive there are calls and emails asking what they can do to make the day special. Pools and beach are amazing and not crowded at all. Rooms reflect the nature of this amazing resort. Food options are somewhat limited on the island but Oceans and Jasmine are solid offerings. Its a treat for sure to stay here, I look forward to our return.

The Sanctuary is a lovely hotel. The main areas are gorgeous with beautiful staircases and stunning murals and artwork. The rooms are well appointed, however, there isn't much to set them apart from other luxury hotels. The balconies are on the small side. The housekeeping services were very good and we were late leaving our rooms during the day as my husband had conference calls and we were never bothered by housekeeping to ask us when we would be leaving the room, which we appreciated very much. The exterior of the hotel is really lovely. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The pools are very nice, if small. The service at the pools is absolutely fantastic and among the best I have ever had. We really appreciated having someone get our chaise lounges all set with a clean cover and towel. The pool areas have complimentary sun screen and also have towelettes for cleaning your glasses lens. The poolside meal service was also very good, although we did have one server who left us alone for almost two hours without checking on us after dropping off our order. We had to go to the bar to ask for further service, but this was rectified immediately and the woman working at the bar was excellent and asked if she could get a jump start on anything we wanted. While we stayed at the Sanctuary we ate at Jasmine's Porch and the Ocean Room, both of which we enjoyed. We also took part in some of the activities at Heron Park Nature Center and these were very nice, especially the Gator Walk, which starts at the Sanctuary. All of this having been said, we are very experienced travelers who have stayed at several luxury hotels all over the country and world and in our experience, the cost of this hotel is inordinately high for its location and what it provides. Obviously, they have several patrons willing to pay the price, so they will continue to get it. That having been said, we would return.

A bit late with the review. But this is just an amazing place to and stay. Everything is first class. Made to feel like a king. Had some bugs while there. Time of the year I guess. But weren't a problem at the beach. The service is excellent and the rooms even better. One of my all time favorite places to stay.

I’ve travelled all around the world, been to hundreds of places and this place is hands down the most relaxing, clean, kid friendly place I’ve ever been too. The staff was amazing, Maaycah was exceptional during the check in and check out process, our house keeper was amazing and the entire staff was friendly and was always there to help us with whatever we needed. I’m telling you that this place is a secret because not many know about it. The grounds are second to none and it’s absolutely the best place to vacation!!! Will be back again!!!!!
