Stayed here for one night in September, and will definitely be back. It is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It is worth every penny. The room, the hotel, the staff and the food were fantastic. It all creates a wonderful experience. We had a Lakeview Room, which I would highly recommend. Very spacious and luxurious. The pool and spa facilities are second to none. I could go on all day complimenting the hotel. The only constructive criticism I could give is the room is missing a box of tissues. And at breakfast people seemed confused by the self service system and ordering system. But neither of these impacted the experience.

Superb hotel, friendly and efficient staff and location is unmatchable. We had a surprise dinner for my wife and the restaurant staff did a great job of making sure it was a surprise. Well worth a visit

My sister and I treated my mum to a birthday weekend stay with dinner and spa treatment. We received a complimentary upgrade to the delight of my mum and ourselves and the room had spectacular views of the mountain and lake and was very large. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and considerate and we were made feel very special during our stay. The dinner was lovely and there was a good choice to pick from. Breakfast was also good but not great. I am unsure when 5* Hotels ceased carrying out table service, but it really does take from the experience when you have to go and queue and take many trips up and down the restaurant for your breakfast items. Although there was a good choice nothing really wowed us. We did have a beautiful table overlooking the great landscape. Their spa is incredible and if you have a treatment you gain private access to a quieter outdoor spa pool as well as a private sauna and steam room with a choice of teas. My only negative here is that all three of us asked for deep massages but the masseur kept it very light which was disappointing as we asked a few times during the massage for firmer pressure. Despite this we spent about 4 hours lazing in the spa area and it was just amazing. The following day we had lunch in the restaurant just off the reception area and we were left very disappointed. We ordered beef cheek, nachos and pate and neither of us enjoyed our choices. Our waiter was also a bit 'smart' with some of his responses which we felt was somewhat unprofessional for the setting we were in. Overall a fantastic hotel just in need of a few tweaks to make it excellent.
