Reviews for The Europe Hotel & Resort
This is truly a beautiful hotel with the most amazing view that you could wish for in Ireland. Before I give my review I would like to add that I'm a publican of many bars in a major city so I feel I know what I'm talking about when I discuss service . That's where the good news stops. We have stayed in many 5* hotels around the world and in Ireland so I write this review with a heavy heart. When we entered the hotel getting a big smile and a hello was an effort from the reception, no concierge seemed to be present (5pm on a Wednesday ). We arrived at our room to find the sliding door open and our room full of cigarette smoke blowing in from next doors balcony . We closed door and went to turn on A/C only to find there is NO A/C only a table fan. So after a 4hr drive I decided to jump into the shower only to find the bathroom extractor didn't work and the shower temperature so sensitive that a mil meter either way would freeze or burn you. Onward to dinner ,we told reception as we passed that the room was smokey but they only offered another fan .!!! Dinner in the bistro......we sat for 15min before the waiter arrived, our starters where finished before our drinks arrived and when the drinks arrived they where wrong .i could go on but that in itself should tell you about the service in the bistro . Going to bed passing both reception staff not so much as a goodnight or sleep well they where too busy chatting to themselves. Check out was fast however the receptionist was also busy dealing with the phones as I was trying to sign off my bill. Overall this is a 5* hotel due to the spa facilities and pool which are breathtaking and of course the view but if you like to feel pampered and like 5* service then skip this hotel it is 3/4* at best.
This hotel is top-notch. The formal restaurant where breakfast is served has stunning views and excellent food. Do not miss the indoor pool area (E-Spa). The swim-in/swim-out extra large hot tub is lovely. There is an adult only steam room and dry sauna. The spa cafe food was good and you can eat in your robe from the spa area. It's difficult to get this from the picture but those grassy areas are rooftops for the spa area. Even the formal restaurant has a grass roof.

From the minute We arrived it was pure paradise weather was 26 degrees which made it all the better staff very friendly Spa was the best I've been to world wide and I've been to a lot pure bliss. Breakfast selection was so big I didn't get a chance to see everything on offer but the tastiest food ever
This hotel is outside of the town but as far as the service and scenery it is the best Killarney offers. The restaurants are very good offering local tastes as well as continental dishes. Bar has good choices especially gin and tonic choices. I really liked the Brasserie and their bread choices, if you ask the recipes of the bread they'll be happy to offer the printed versions. Superb service.
