We have stayed at many beautiful hotels all over the world and this is by far our favourite. We had visited the spa before but had never stayed overnight. The beauty of the view is almost mystical.I felt as though I could have been in Japan, or on a mountain lake in Bavaria. Although it was May, a harsh overnight weather system caused the mountain tips to be frosted in snow. Not a worry at this hotel, in fact it added to the pleasure when soaking in the outdoor/indoor hot pool after a long swim in the huge beautiful pool, with twinkling tiles and light that made you feel as though you were swimming into the lake. Staying there allows you to go from bedroom to spa areas in bathrobe and slippers and you can in fact dine at the spa cafe in your robe. Our meal at the Brasserie was wonderful, well priced and exceptional food. I recommend the Halibut to anyone. The other aspect of our stay that delighted us was the friendliness and kindness of the staff in every dept. Also the superquick service. The morning of our departure, weather cancelled our golf, so back to the spa we went. We did check out on time but did not feel as though we were being hurried out at all. I cannot say enough about this magical place and hotel.

Service was good, the room was spacious had a great view of the lake and surrounding mountains, the amenities were fine ,hotel is quite near the town by car . The staff are pleasant and helpful. The restaurant and food was good
We were very much looking forward to our return to The Europe Hotel. We were very warmly welcomed and went to our room. It was the smallest room we had been in versus the previous occasions we had stayed. We relaxed for the afternoon in the luxurious spa and facilities. It was busier than previously as it was Easter, but we were very surprised at the number of children at the 5* hotel (with no real facilities for children). We went to the bar while we were waiting for a table at the Brasserie Restaurant. We were called back after 30 minutes and seated - the restaurant was very busy and quite noisy. It felt like a conveyor belt as opposed to a relaxing dining experience, as they were trying to seat the guests on the list as efficiently as possible. The waiters were very nice but they were not as efficient as previously as the bread basket was on our table until the end of the meal. My water was not topped up for the entire meal. No waiter seemed to have a section, in my personal opinion, they were all over the place not focused on the diners but more interested in seating the guests that were on the list. Our food was efficiently delivered and was delicious but the 5* service was sorely lacking. We recommend the Pork and Steak as well as Passion Fruit Dessert and Eton Mess. The food was delicious but service was poor. Breakfast was a comprehensive offering (not as chaotic as the Brasserie restaurant) in The Panorama Restaurant. Views were spectacular which we enjoyed over breakfast. We enjoyed the spa and facilities before departing. Lesson learnt from our point of view, we will not be booking at peak holiday times. Overall, we enjoyed our night away but a 5* dinner experience, it was not.
