This hotel leaves most 5* for dust The lake views are out of this world. Rooms are fabulous, however I don't like the new tv mounts, the tv is angled upwards. Music in the bathroom doesn't work either. This visit was our first summer visit and there were lots of kids! Pool was crazy! And also I noticed the amount of people going around videoing the pool etc was crazy! Maybe the Europe could take a leaf from Monart here, adults only and a no phone zone except for one living room! The place is a resort! Time seems to slow down there and it's a real treat! One thing however since we first started going there we noticed how many locals were employed now the number of foreigners has outshone these figures for us, with some being quiet hard to understand. Pity as I liked the local touch! Otherwise can't fault it! Great hotel, food etc.

A visit to the Europe is always a treat. I stayed two nights here a fortnight ago and it was glorious - from the moment we checked in, to the moment we checked out. We dined in the Brasserie on several occasions during our stay, and our lovely waiter, Kevin, made our dining experience very memorable. The staff were always very accommodating and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend the garganelli pasta with wild mushrooms and chicken - unreal. Without doubt the best ESPA I've been in. I am already planning my next stay!

Had lunch here recently. Excellent food and magnificent setting overlooking the lake. We were lucky that the day was beautiful but it would be a great venue on any delay. Menu reasonable priced and varied. Fully recommended.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful location but lacking the personal touch of similar hotels. We'd been looking forward to staying here since we had stopped for lunch over a year ago. We were very disappointed to arrive at our room and find two single beds pushed together (this was promptly made into a double after a phone call - but still it ruined the exciting moment of arriving in the room)! If the hotel had any doubt about the type of bed we needed they should have called in advance and asked. The Spa and Brasserie were excellent! The overall feel of the hotel was very good. The breakfast was very good but the eggs are significantly better in the Savoy in Limerick. Delhi resort had a more personal touch and better wow factor on entering our room which was actually a suite. The called in advance to find out why we were travelling and made extra arrangements for us to ensure everything was perfect.

The lake at the foot of the mountain would be enough to sell the stay by itself. In addition, the rooms were beautiful, the staff was unusually attentive and helpful, and the food was excellent. We did come during the only warm week in Ireland this year, and there is no air conditioning, so the room was stuffy even with windows open. Would definitely stay here again
