I experienced a few issues on this visit. Growing up in Kirkland, the Woodmark has always been a destination for friends and family coming to town. Service is always incredible, and I've always experienced nothing short of perfection on each stay. My most recent stay, however, fell very short of my expectations. First, I booked a reservation for my wife's birthday. I called ahead to get a bottle of champagne delivered to the room. I told the person over the phone that I'd be arriving no later than 5:00pm, and that I wanted them to deliver the champagne no later that 4:30pm. When we arrived to the room, there was no champagne, and when it did come, it was at 5:30pm. They charged me $56, when the restaurant at the beach house restaurant was selling the same bottle for $38. Unfortunately, the intended surprise didn't go off the way it was supposed to. Second, we attended the beach house restaurant, and upon arriving, told our server that we were there for a "quick bite" because we had dinner reservations elsewhere. We ordered 2 glasses of wine, and an order of calamari. After about 25 minutes, we still had not received our appetizer. The server seemed surprised and said she'd go check on it. 10 minutes later the food arrived, but was given to the table next to us who ordered the same thing, only thing is that they had been seated 20 minutes after we had. Another 5 minutes passed until our server realized the mistake. At that point, we needed to leave to make our other reservation. The server apologized, but the experience was awful. The next morning, when checking out, the person at the front desk asked if I wanted to charge the room to my mastercard. I asked to see the bill first. Upon receiving the bill, I saw that we were given a bill that charged us twice for parking, and once for an amenity fee that was never conspicuous or advertised. The person at the front desk fixed the problem, but if I had not asked to see the bill, we would have been charged for these fees. Finally, we were never given a receipt, so when we left the hotel and got to the exit gate, the gentleman attending the gate would not let us leave without "paying" because we had not receipt to show from the hotel. I had to go back to the hotel, pick up a receipt, which the person at the front desk apologized for, and go back to the gate to give to the attendant. This is all to say that, literally from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, service was sub-par.

The staff at the hotel was always nice and greeted you as you walked in. The valet did an excellent job also! The best part was it was not overcrowded with people and was a very quiet atmosphere. The view and balcony was amazing! Hope to come back again!

Had a wonderful stay at the Woodmark. Beautiful location, great room and service that was excellent. On site restaurants makes dining easy. Lots of amenities to keep you entertained. Location within walking distance to Kirkland. A great town to visit.

I recently accompanied my husband to the Woodmark. The setting is beautiful, personnel at front desk-extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We booked a tour on the hotel's 1956 Chris Craft boat, which was very entertaining. Captain Rob is a native of Seattle and caretaker of the beautiful boat. He showed took us past the University of Washington, the Chihuly glass studio and at least four neighborhoods of floating homes, including the one from "Sleepless in Seattle". A very enjoyable two hours! There is a boardwalk and marina in front of the hotel. Nice ambience. The only downside to the hotel was breakfast at The Beach Club restaurant. Service was very slow. This is not the place if you desire amenities like a swimming pool or outdoor spa/ hot tub.

This was an anniversary stay we will remember for years to come. The entire staff was friendly, engaging and very helpful. We loved ordering room service appetizers and then taking the shuttle into Kirkland for dinner after. Truly the perfect evening!
