Reviews for Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa
As a business owner, who puts service above self each and every day and have also ingrained that into my employees and Management teams, it's very hard to impress me when it comes to the hospitality arenas. When I try to sum this place up from a holistic point of view, what comes to mind is the ONLY other hotel/resort, etc. that I have had an equivalent service experience from, would be the Ritz Carlton properties. I would not only put the Woodmark's service on par with the Ritz but in some areas, they EXCEEDED it! Mainly from a more personal flavor because of the interaction with us. Everything from our vehicle to our daughter's sporting event competition. Great job Woodmark. We just found our new place to stay when visiting Seattle!

This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed at this beautiful hotel. The color tones and furnishings are absolutely beautiful – the location on the marina and Lake Washington can't be beat. You can be in Seattle in 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. I love Kirkland and all of the things to do on the east side of the lake. Highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely be back over and over again. The staff is outstanding and called us by name every time we entered the lobby. Can't say enough nice things about this hotel.

I had a good stay at this hotel previously and thus booked it twice for business in the Bellevue area in early 2017. If you book far enough in advance, the rates here can compare favorably to those of the hotels in downtown Bellevue, from which the Woodmark is about a 10 min. drive. On my first visit, I landed in Seattle to a voicemail from the hotel saying an (unspecified) maintenance issue meant I could not be accommodated that night. Obviously a bit frustrating, but the staff did handle it professionally, notifying me early and arranging accommodation elsewhere. Stuff happens and I appreciated the professionalism in light of the circumstance. My next visit was what I expected: a peaceful night with lovely accommodation. This hotel is quaint and chic in a low-key way. The rooms in the water side have gorgeous views. I loved the rain shower, the Molton Brown products, and the comfortable bed. The environs surrounding the hotel are gorgeous; if you arrive before sundown, g for a walk! I did not dine at the hotel, instead walking to a restaurant down the street. I did visit the "midnight raid" in the pantry; it sounds better than it is (packaged snacks, etc.) but is still a fun concept. I wish they would go with some higher-end snacks or more boutique brands than Oreos, etc. Valet parking is relaxed; make sure to call in the morning before you bed your car. Doing this, it was ready when I needed it. I find the front desk staff here pleasant but a bit less polished and slower than at Bellevue downtown hotels. Overall, very nice, and would not hesitate to return. Feels like a mini retreat amidst all the business travel!

My husband & I have stayed at this place a few times in the past. The service is consistently great. So many amenities and restaurants are close by. Downtown Kirkland is walkable (unless it's raining ;-) ) and the view of the lake is outstanding. My favorite hotel so far.

If you are after peace and quiet this hotel fits the bill. Outrageously expensive for sub par furnished rooms. We booked the executive marina suite 219. Outdated furniture and decor. Check in was disorganised, absolutely no wow factor to this hotel. "Raid the pantry" was shocking...stale doritos and trail mix!? No bottled water in room, bare bones amenities. Bin on the lake restaurant featured great cuisine but poor poor service. We left feeling we could have gotten a way better experience for half the price by staying in Bellevue. It's the little things that keep you coming back, disappointed on all levels.
