Reviews for Reunion Resort, a Salamander Golf and Spa Resort
I stayed at this resort 1x and had a nice experience. I requested the same room for my next trip (which apparently was a renovated room). When I got there at noon the unhelpful and rude woman at the desk told me they have given the room to someone else. I asked for a room like it, but she said they didn't have one. I was expected to pay the same price for a room that was not as nice. I decided to leave and go to another hotel, but my 3 year old started to cry and throw a fit because she didn't want to leave, only then did a manager appear to try and help. The manager also stated they didn't have a room as nice as the one we requested and offered that we look at a different room. The room was run down and I wouldn't feel comfortable even sitting on the furniture. Bottom line, maybe you will get lucky and get a nice room, but you probably won't. The customer service sucks, the staff have an attitude, and most of the rooms are rundown. Maybe they forget there are a million hotels around and people can stay somewhere else.
From check-in to check-out we found the staff polite. My family enjoyed all of their accommodations thoroughly. Some of us were in three bedroom villas with three full baths, others stayed in two bedroom hotels rooms, and others rented two six bedroom homes with pools. Every accommodation was luxurious, comfortable, clean and on the same property. We able to reserve the Eleven, a property restaurant, for our Memorial Breakfast. The food was very tasty and the fruit was fresh. We also had the use of banquet room for our dinner with a varied menu. We are planning stay at another one of their properties in the future, because it was conducive for our gatherings.

We had the worst experience ever at Reunion. We stayed from July 13th to 19th. I will not list them all because they are so many but, here are the worst ones. My family come from Brazil and used to spend the winter break (BR) at Reunion for at least the past 10 years and that's why we choose this resort for our family reunion and wedding ceremony. Besides my family from BR, I came from Fort Worth,TX with my husband and our two kids (8 and 6), my father-in-law and family came from Tyler,TX, friends came from Pennsylvania, New York and also Orlando to stay with us. So we brought a bunch of people to stay at Reunion Resort and we're so disappointed. Our room 302 at Seven Eagles building C had a microwave issue since day one and after 4 "tickets" opened they came to fix on day five even after I explained that we had 2 kids and it's all about quick meals since the room was supposed to offer a complete kitchen. We had to go to my brother's rented house at the same Reunion for meals. At our room and at one of our friends room cockroaches were found, very nasty. But the worst was our last day, when the AC stopped working at early afternoon and after another complaint they said would open a "ticket"!!! Can you imagine no AC at Orlando's summer?!?! Somebody called us about 11:30pm asking if we wanted to change rooms and at that late night I just wanted everything to be over. So we slept under a 100F with the most noise fan above our heads. They should offered us to move rooms since day one at our first complaint but instead they gave us 4 drinks to apologize! I talked to a person named Jose.. on our last night around midnight and he said would check what could be done after all our bad experiences. He got my email, phone number and so far we didn't hear from him. Well for sure Reunion Resort doesn't care about their guests. I doubt they will take some time to read and say something about my review. No need to say that was our first and last time and even my family after 10 years will not come to Reunion no more (they had lots of issues and complaints as well in a house they rent for no less than 4k). I hope this review help someone that really wants a good experience in Orlando to do not choose Reunion Resort as an option. With so many options in Orlando better try some place not so big that can handle better their guests.
My daughter and I have stayed here TWO years in a row . We visit during our annual dance convention. To begin there is an amazing staff that greets you at the door. The fact that Milos is still there along with a few others, means that the staff loves their job as much as we love them. The rooms are clean and easy to manage a stay of 10 days. The staff comes in twice a day continually filling towels And taking down the bed for us. The kitchen saved us money, and the in room laundry sent us home with clean clothes. When there were minor issues the staff credited my bill at the end of our week. The five pools are very nice, and we are only 1.5 hours away from cocoa beach. We were able to hit the pool, Disney parks, and the beach. I wish that my entire family could come with us. I know that we will have to put our dogs in doggy camp for a week so that's parents can come down next year.
Everything was very good. The villa was comfortable for my family size. Everything is so close including Disney, The room service was excellent. The house keeping was helpful and timely. Not intrusive or annoying how it can be at other locations. The resort is centrally located as well so that you can take the family out to eat and you can go to the local Publix (supermarket) to purchase groceries.
