Great experience, we’d come again. With a few touches could be excellent
There is a lot to like about Pezula, but a few touches could make it truly feel luxurious. We enjoyed: The location. Very peaceful. The suites are well appointed, not lacking any amenities we might have needed. It is well thought through, though it is fraying a little bit at the edges. Things broken and not fixed or replaced. In all though, we liked the accommodations. The staff attentive and kind for the most part. Things that could be improved: I think the restaurant kind of let them down. Breakfast was pretty good, but dinner could have been better. Some confusion around changes on the bill and two pizzas that weren't great-too bready and wet. Also, the dinner staff were distracted talking to each other. Sometimes service took a while. The other thing that absolutely takes away one star is that the hotel allows their guests smoke anywhere outside. I didn't realize that South African rules around smoking in public changes had changed. The hotel seemed to over accommodate their guests, especially the ones who with their language I'd say are foreign; to the detriment of everyone else. During dinner, we had to endure the waft of cigarette smoke coming in and out of the dinning room as smokers went out and came in. After breakfast of was difficult to enjoy the deck for the same reason.
