We went their for the offsite of my husband's office. The property is mind blowing with private pools attached to each villa. Has a private beach. The service is excellent and food was also very good. Would like to highly recommend the property.

Stayed here as a couple (in 30s) first couple of weeks in April. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love. Our check in was smooth, we were greeted with cold towels and a refreshing drink. We were introduced to Pang, our concierge for our stay and shown to our Villa. We were taken by golf buggy and shown the main sites of the resort on route to our Villa. It is magical. You are given a mobile phone which connects directly to your assigned concierge so you can call at any time - in or outside the resort- for assistance. Lovely touch. We unfortunately experienced freak weather (5 day monsoon) during the dry season, but we didn't let that dampen our spirits too much. We made use of the Spa, the Rainforest experience, the hotels' library which has an array of books, magazines and DVDs. We utilised the Gym and classes on offer, as well as got out of the resort to explore the local towns. Once the rain stopped, the sun was shinning and we made up for the lost time. The breakfasts are good - mainly Asian breakfast foods, but lots of fresh fruit, cereals, continental selection as well as an egg station which cooked on demand egg dishes such as poached, scrambled, omelettes etc.... You will not go hungry. There are also smoothies, juices, array of coffee & teas at your disposal. We ate at Sands a number of times for both lunch and dinner - including the Beach BBQ night. All very nice. You can eat on the beach and round the Pool if you so desire - just ask for a menu. We had room service a lot (especially because of the bad weather at the beginning of the holiday) which is delivered and set up superbly by the wait staff either in your villa or outside. We would also order drinks to the room (6 beers for example) which again were delivered promptly. The resort is hilly, so we would often walk to the lobby, spa, beach (as downhill) and get a buggy back - sometimes there was a wait, other times immediate - but never longer than 10 minutes, plus your on holiday so what's the rush! We used the main pool and beach a fair bit as they were usually empty. Great for us as the attention we got from staff at these locations was over and above. You are given cold towels, iced water, face mist etc... at your sunbeds and the guys cannot do enough for you. We had an incident involving a roof tile whist at our villa, but it was seen to immediately and we were moved to another Villa. We were upgraded a view for the inconvenience. Our first villa was a ocean view, and although we loved it, when we saw the view from the second villa - I can understand why its classed as an upgrade! It was higher and therefore the view was better. Other than the view, the villa and amenities were exactly the same. We also chartered the Banyan Tree speed boat (senses of the sea) for a day. This is a lot of money, but if you can afford it -its well worth it. We chose an 8 hour trip and you feel like royalty! You are collected from the beach of the hotel - the boat pulls right in and you simply step on it - you are provided with alcoholic and soft drinks throughout your trip and depending on whether you chose a full day or half day - lunch/snacks. We had a blast! We went to a couple of destinations, and because it was only the 2 of us with the crew on the boat, we could tell them what we wanted to see and they took us to the best places. They took us to some great spots and we even did some fishing from the boat. It really is worth it if you can manage it! The staff here are incredible, I cannot speak highly enough of them. The General Manager should be really proud of the staff and how they make the guests feel here - its really commendable. If you are thinking of going here - don't think about it - book it - I promise you, you will not be disappointed!

We really enjoyed our week relaxing at the Banyan Tree Koh Samui. The property was built in 2010 so it is still in good condition. The beach is very private as only the guests from the resort can really access it. The service was very good esp the help the staff gave when my son was ill during our stay. Note that the food at the hotel restaurants was disappointing especially since the restaurants were expensive so the quality should have been better. The hotel is within walking distance to a few restaurants but you really need to catch a taxi or drive to better food places. The kids club closes from 12-1pm so this can be inconvenient.

My wife and I had the most perfect wedding day at the Banyan Tree. The wedding package was amazing and it was organised brilliantly. Our wedding planner 'Gift' was so good from the start and she was very quick to respond to all our questions and worries over the 2 years of planning. Throughout the 3 days we stayed here we were constantly surprised with additional work the hotel had done to make our stay so special. The romantic meal on the beach was superb to then came back to the villa and it was all kitted out with roses, candles and elephants made from towels etc for our return. The wedding day itself was unbelievable and there was so much thought put in place for the added touches. The spa day was so relaxing and the standard was so high. 'Moss' who was our villa host was very friendly and sorted anything that we or my family needed. All of the staff did an amazing job to make the day so special and they are all so friendly and helpful. The Villas are so nice and the views take your breathe away as you enter the lobby or chill on your balcony. We could not fault the hotel, staff or venue in any way and we cannot wait to visit again in the future. A few photos attached are from a personal phone, once we receive the professional pics I will upload these to show the real beauty of this hotel. Feel free to get in contact for more information

In a beautiful - picture postcard area of Koh Samui. Nice beach. Beautiful rooms with great views. We stayed in a family pool villa. The pool was a good size as was the master room. Outside there is no sun loungers but a leather cushioned area, however due to the area being surrounded by a glass barrier the area was far too hot to sit. Like a green house and the leather burnt my sons foot. It was that hot! Room service often took too long. Breakfast was of great quality and varied choice. However the rarely had a big enough table to seat us all - 3 adults and 2 children. Each morning we had to wait for them to join tables etc. A good restaurant would know by day 2 we were coming and have this already arranged with high chair etc. Kids club was very disappointing and a waste of time. Basically a meeting room converted as an after thought. No energy from the staff there and my kids were handed a colouring sheet. Won't return.
