We have just returned from the most wonderful week at this beautiful hotel. The hotel is set in the most scenic location with breathtaking views overlooking the sea. We stayed in the Royal Villa's which were as the name suggests fit for a king. The Villa itself was split into three large sections. Lounge, bedroom, and bathroom with an additional huge outdoor deck and pool area. As beautiful as the hotel grounds were our villa was so luxurious we didn't feel the need to leave it! We would happily spend the day on the outside deck and pool relaxing and looking out into the beautiful blue sea. When staying at this hotel it almost feels like you have a whole island to yourself - total peace and tranquility. The Hotel staff could not do enough for us, the service at this hotel was second to none, nothing was too much trouble. Our Host, Pang would call in on us every morning to inquire if we comfortable and if we required anything, we were even given a mobile phone to her direct line in case we needed her whilst we were out of the hotel. Although this hotel is more for honeymooning couples, families with children are welcomed warmly, the Thai people seem to love children! We stayed at this hotel with our 8 year old son who had a amazing time despite being one of only a handful of children within the hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel to those who are looking for something exclusive and very special- a truly unforgettable hotel!

This place is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are fantastic. Everyone who works here is very nice. The food is very good. The problem with this place is the service in the public areas. At the beach and pool absolutely no one comes around to take orders, a phenomenon which is puzzling because they are leaving many thousands of dollars on the table every day. There's no bar down at the beach, so if you want something to drink, you have to go to the restaurant and have an awkward encounter with a waiter to ask for service. It's like the general manager isn't paying attention or hasn't thought about how resorts work. It's just weird. Also, I don't understand how you can run a resort without knowing how to make a pina colada. I drink these things by the gallon on vacation. I've had one here. And it was pineapple juice with the iocane powder-equivalent of rum and a whisper of coconut. Makes no sense.

One of the few holidays truly sad to leave. The service at Banyan Tree Samui was amazing. The dedicated liaison contact we had, Patrick, was so attentive and helped arrange anything we needed. The staff, in particular Tik, Add and the lads on the beach really made the stay special. The housekeeping team always made an extra effort with their presentations and it was very welcomed and made our anniversary so memorable. The ocean view pool villas are amazing. Great views and secluded enough to retreat to in the afternoon for some isolated privacy. The beach was nice and quiet with with the drinks always on hand from the beach lads. Felt like we owned the place! We usually like to vary where we stay but this is one of the few places I would like to return to.

Had an ocean facing family villa with private pool and a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Thailand The staff there sure knows how to isomer you We had a great time Fantastic Spa and a beautiful small private beach The place is quite unique with villas constructed in a small hilly terrain and offers a lot of privacy hence ideal for shall families and for a chilled out time Breakfast is very nice and the food overall too But the best thing is the service and the staff and the attention to detail from cushion stair and size to linen to everything else A big thank you esp to View, for taking care of us

We are a family of three with a 4 years old little boy, and we were delighted with our stay in Banyan Tree Samui. The accommodation is excellent, with fantastic views and a great big private pool. Our personal host, View, was really helpful and friendly. In fact, the whole staff was really great and made us feel like family. Breakfast was excellent throughout and the two restaurants inside the resort serve very high quality meals for very reasonable prices. We were enchanted by our experience and highly recommend it.
