Banyan Tree Samui

We stayed at the Banyan Tree Samui resort for our honeymoon and have nothing but great things to say about our experience. From the very beginning, we were welcomed by the staff and our concierge, DaDa, who was absolutely incredible. The property is stunning, the villas are spectacular, and the service is top-notch. We are already hoping to come back again one day!!

Returned from a lovely stay at this hotel. Stayed in a Hillcrest villa which had an amazing view of the bay. Room was well appointed , housekeeping did a great job keeping everything clean. We enjoyed the food at both Saffron and Sands , both had varied menus with plenty of options. All were delicious. Staff throughout the hotel were, without exception , all great. Spa was exceptional, enjoyed several very relaxing treatments and The Rainforest was well worth experiencing. Special thanks to Tak Kanoknan who assisted with all our bookings. Would highly recommend the hotel.

We had the privilege of spending the first leg of our honeymoon at Banyan Tree! Our liaison Dada made us feel so welcomed right away. She also arranged cabs for us to visit the fisherman’s village, upgraded our room to a gorgeous villa, and made sure we maximized our experience. The food was truly amazing (especially breakfast wow !!!!!), the spa was stunning, the beach was amazing, and it was a blast to take the buggy’s around the hilly cliffside! Highly recommend this incredible spot!

Search no further….we had the privilege of staying for 2 weeks in Feb 2026 and our expectations were exceeded in every category. Superbly designed resort overlooking a cove with meandering paths through exquisitely manicured tropical gardens. Explore at your leisure on foot or buggies with invariably smiling chauffeurs always readily available. Guests are supported around the clock by a villa host available by phone or text for any question or request. Thank you Abby! The spotlessly-clean villas could not have been designed better with simple yet sophisticated decor and every imaginable amenity. Enjoy the sunset from your private deck, plunge pool or bathtub which comfortably accommodates 2 people. Upon arriving back at the villa, there always seemed to be unexpected treats - snacks, aromatic sprays, souvenir bracelets…. My wife loved the complimentary morning yoga and Tai Chi sessions with Bikram. We both enjoyed Thai, Balinese and hot stone massage treatments. The infinity pool was peaceful and perfectly located, with attentive staff offering cool face towels, bottled water and dry towels. Thank you for taking such good care of us Nook (also our Tai Chi teacher) and Noon! Breakfast spread was on a par with the best (Four Seasons Lisbon…). Daily made to order specials. Mix your own Bloody Mary and Mimosa/Buck’s Fizz stations (not too many!) We loved the beach restaurant - fresh, crisp, vibrant food with a talented staff led by Executive Sous-Chef John W. Thank you Aeie, Noon, Gafew and the indefatigable Jack for making every meal a delight. If you are interested in cooking, we recommend the culinary classes which have a very personal feel. I came home with so many “secrets” to better Thai dishes! It came as no surprise when we learned that the excellent General Manager, Rainer, has a culinary background himself, having previously worked for royalty. It became obvious that Rainer has created a fantastic culture of service and quality with genuinely happy staff. Bottom line - your search is over. We’ll looking forward to seeing you again this winter.
