Banyan Tree Samui

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a Banyan Tree hotel, and the experience was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The property itself is stunning — beautifully designed, peaceful, and perfectly integrated with its natural surroundings. Every detail reflects elegance, comfort, and a deep sense of relaxation. The service was truly world-class. Everyone was attentive, warm, and genuinely committed to making our stay unforgettable. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The villa was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed with luxurious touches throughout. Overall, our stay at Banyan Tree exceeded all expectations. It’s the perfect destination for anyone looking for luxury, tranquillity, and impeccable service. I would highly recommend this paradise on earth :).

88 villas scattered around a big hill. Big terraces with sea views most of them. I wouldn’t say they are super luxurious and the furniture was a little dated & tired in places but that didn’t bother us as other aspects of the place made up for it. Buggies around the clock to move people around the enormous gardens was one the highlights. The beach service was top and there is a marine sport base to distribute snorkelling kits, Canoes; one catamaran boards etc. all free with the friendliest team. there is a small house reef with a small variety of fish but the coral is mostly dead. They are 2 very good restaurants & food can be served at the beach. Taxis to the local town costs about £12 each way. Lots of local restaurants to choose from. Nearest one is a Swiss restaurant 10 min walk down the road. They are also a couple of massage places on this road & a massive pharmacy. I gave this place a 5 ( it’s not often I do) it’s good value for money, the service is faultless even the gardeners give you genuine smiles. The food is amazing especially the breakfast and with breathtaking views to the hills & sea. I would definitely go back. Well done to this amazing team who do everything and more to please the clientele.

This property is gorgeous. The staff is attentive, friendly, and beyond helpful. We stayed in the best villa on the property I03--the views below are gorgeous and worth the 45+steps it takes to climb up. Our host Dada was super helpful, helped us with reservations on and off property. We had an injury off property and the staff were kind to provide first aid. The location is perfect not too far from the downtown area, a quick ride. The beach area is beautiful, well maintained, service is great. The spa is also a must do. The pool is serene and not as busy as the beach area. All is all beautiful property, great service, and would 100% recommend.

Had a very good experience at the spa here across two days. Yellee took great care of me each day. The facilities are very well kept and clean. Each room is essentially its own building so there is a lot of privacy and no outside noise. Very happy with my experience.

We have just returned after 9 incredible nights at Banyan Tree Samui and cannot recommend this hotel enough. The trip was particularly special for us as we chose to get married here on a ‘Just The Two of Us’ package, which provided us with the perfect wedding day. The resort is idyllic with beautiful views across its own private bay. We opted for the Royal Banyan Ocean Pool villa for our accommodation which was very spacious and comfortable, and we made great use of the large private pool and jacuzzi. We requested a villa high up with maximum sun and were pleased to be in the G section which received morning sun and only shaded at about 3pm, when we happily spent the rest of the day at the beach. The housekeeping staff kept our room perfectly clean and we were grateful for the evening treats that accompanied turndown service. Due to the resort being located on a hillside, it relies on a buggy system to transport guests around which we found to be efficient with minimal wait times. It’s also very enjoyable to walk around if you’re able and if it’s not at peak heat times. We ate at all of the restaurants and found the quality of food to be excellent at them all, with the service at both The Edge for breakfast and Sands for lunch/beach side snacks to be the best with friendly and attentive staff who cannot do enough for you. As part of the wedding package we had the destination dining experience at infinity point which we would highly recommend, the food was delicious and it was a very special experience in a unique setting. Our wedding day itself was perfect and we are so grateful to our wedding planner Som and our villa host Chan for everything they did in preparation and on the day to make it so special. From a decorated buggy with our beautiful wedding flowers, to a romantic set up in our room that evening and being our actual witnesses for the ceremony itself, they created a day for us that we will never forget. The communication and attentiveness from Chan throughout our trip was exceptional and we feel very lucky to have had her as our host! We would highly recommend taking a boat trip if you have the chance, we spent a day exploring Koh Samui with Bozo as our very knowledgeable guide and thoroughly enjoyed seeing other parts of the island and some fantastic snorkelling. We both visited the spa a couple of times for different treatments which were all excellent. The therapists were clearly very experienced and the setting is tranquil and relaxing. This truly is a 5 star resort which provides guests with ultimate luxury and we hope to return again one day in the future!
