The Banyan Tree is a delight.. perfectly appointed villas with own infinity pools the whole complex oozes exclusivity and heavily promotes relaxation. The staff are wonderful without exception. Our 'villa host' Dao was the kindest, most helpful young lady we could ever have hoped for and she typified the quality of personnel in resort. The beach is beautiful (FOC fully serviced water sports are a revelation in such 5 star resorts!) the restaurants limited on choice but high on quality (again with fabulous service and staff) and the spa is excellent. We visited for my 40th birthday and to my surprise even staff we had not met wished me many happy returns.. such is the attention to detail. We could post a million and one photos that we took around resort and below are just a few. We can however vouch for the authenticity of the Instagram page that Ryan the Head of Marketing carefully populates daily (even the management staff are interested in your stay... Incredible!) #banyan_tree_samui insta page gives a true and detailed flavour of the resort.. (great job Ryan!) Overall 5+ stars built on the special environment and accommodation but made by the staff. Thanks Banyan Tree, it's been my most memorable birthday by a long way! See you next year without a doubt.

3 night break in early March. Spacious, hillside with pool and hot tub. Service, setting and spa were exceptional. The only reason this is a 4 not 5 is the restaurants. The beachside restaurant is low key and the food is good if predictable. The hilltop Thai is better but not standout. Overall the package is enough to make a return trip highly likely.

Such an amazing place to stay, one of the very best on Samui. First class service and amazing location. Great beach, great pool and the villa accommodation was superb. Not cheap though, so get saving now for the next time !

We stayed for 8 nights at the Banyan Tree Koh Samui in a Royal Villa in April - As a family of 4 it was a truly memorable experience. The service was excellent from our moment of arrival to the point of departure. To be clear - all we need as a family is a great pool, a great beach, good food and luxurious surroundings....cant be that hard to find? We loved the beach - its perfect for kids - with decent snorkelling available at waist depth - particularly good for kids learning. We have 8 year old twins and they loved every minute The hammocks around the beach area were lovely to unwind in The pool is great without being too deep or too busy In fact the over-arching memory is that despite being at full occupancy you have the feeling that the hotel is relatively empty Kids club was Ok - but our kids hung with us most of the time and so we didn't really use - but the staff were great. Breakfast was fantastic and agin the staff will do everything they can to enhance your stay Eating in the restaurants can be pricey - but only in comparison to what is available outside - relatively similar to eating out at home. We really enjoyed evenings out in th Fishermans Village up the coast - avoided Chaweng and ate also in Lemia. All in all it was a great holiday made better by our hotel choice. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed for two nights and wished it could have been for two weeks. The villas are so well appointed and comfortable that we did not want for a thing. The beautiful clean and clear beach and water was such a pleasure to swim in and was so warm. For a different dimension on a spa experience try the one hour rain forest experience, It is well worth it to relax before your beautiful massage.
