Exceptional stay at Banyan Tree Samui! A stunning, peaceful resort with flawless villas, incredible food, and plenty of activities. The entire staff was attentive and caring throughout our stay. A special thank you to our amazing Villa Host, Mint we were so lucky to have her, and she helped us with absolutely everything. Highly recommended

Beautifully appointed classy rooms, impeccable service by staff, good food at the restaurants, 24 hour buggy service. The property has a gorgeous setting by a lagoon, and the staff (Mint) and Massy at the spa was fantastic!

We had the most incredible honeymoon at Banyan Tree Samui…it will be hard to explain just how good it was in words. Is Banyan Tree expensive, yes Is it worth it, double yes. If you enjoy wildlife, luxury and privacy, this is the resort for you. We spent 8 nights in Villa I01. Every villa has a private pool, we had the most amazing sunrise view, huge double bath, rainfall shower and decking area with seating. There is no need to leave the villa, nevermind the resort. Every staff member beams from ear to ear, no matter the time of day, no matter the request. Everything is thought of, umbrellas in the room, a good hairdryer, power adapter, beach bags, you name it, it’s been thought of. One evening it rained, turndown service left a towel by the villa door for wet shoes and umbrella. It’s the small details that make a difference. We ate at all of the restaurants and enjoyed both the fire show evening and the Thai street food evening with traditional Thai dancing at Beachside. Food is delicious and covers different cuisines, whatever you’re in the mood for, you’ll be satisfied. It was my birthday while visiting, for breakfast we enjoyed the floating breakfast in our villa pool, delivered with a smile and beautifully presented, it was a great way to start the day. In the evening, we enjoyed the destination dining at the resorts ‘infinity point’. Knox looked after us throughout the evening, making us laugh, sharing recommendations for things to enjoy on the island and made an unforgettable experience for us. I would highly recommend the destination dining experience - you can pick from different locations around the resort but, for us, infinity point was incredible. The resort has just won ‘Best Spa Hotel (Asia)’ and it’s clear why. We enjoyed the couples package 180 mins treatment. We mixed and matched the Royal Banyan and the Sukhothai Heritage treatment. We spent an amazing afternoon with Ja and Tiara, the best massage I’ve ever had, hands down. The spa experience room is private, spacious and we enjoyed the outdoor bath at the end of the treatment. Book this experience. You’re in for a treat! Anytime of day or night, a buggy is just 10 mins away to take you to where you need to go on the resort, which is impressive considering I villas are high up and a 6 minute drive away from the lobby. It’s hilly, not impossible to walk to breakfast or the pool/beach, but you’re definitely grateful for the ride back to the Villa! We love wildlife, so we were grateful to be visited by a mixture of animals in and around our Villa: a frog, geckos, butterflies, millipedes, we also saw a (small) snake, spiders, birds and lots of other insects. This is the perfect nature experience. Last, but not least, the biggest thanks to our villa host Dada. She worked so hard to make our stay memorable, checking in with us every day and easily available via WhatsApp for anything we needed during the day, she understood what was important for our trip and recommended everything we needed to make it a memorable stay. We have fallen in love with the resort and the team, and we’re searching for an excuse to return already!

4 1/2 out of 5. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort, the villas are exceptionally comfortable, and the beach / pool areas are wonderful. The staff make this place - some of the warmest and nicest people you would ever meet. Beach activities excellent, reef good, Spa was excellent. The reason we can’t give it 5 stars is because of the food. Breakfast exceeded our expectations however the two dining options were underwhelming, particularly the fine dining restaurant, Saffron, which was a huge disappointment - food was mediocre, some of the dishes unappetising, and the overall experience felt a long way from fine dining. Additionally, the drinks menu was identical throughout the resort which didn’t set Saffron apart in any way. Overall we enjoyed our stay, great memories, but not quite the dining experience we expected from a Banyan resort.

Woke up everyday to a canopy of trees, views of the ocean and birds chirping outside our villa. Stepped into our private pool before heading out to a delectable breakfast spread. Wellness classes with amazing trainers through the day and impeccable service from our host as well as every single person throughout the property. The beach, pool and restaurants are beyond reproach. What a gem Banyan Tree is. Special commendation to our host Nicha, Jate who guided us through activities and Bikram who guided us through meditation and yoga. A truly wonderful stay.
