Simply put, NAPASAI Samui was the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The room, private beach, Infiniti pool, cocktails, breakfast, and restaurant were all outstanding! Some of our favorite highlights included Fisherman’s Feast + Fire show on Thursday night and the local excursions organized by the hotel including a day trip to Ang Thong National Park. They also have other conveniences for travelers such as airport transportation and packed breakfasts. You’ll never want to leave the resort, but if you do there are convenient options via hotel transportation or Grab to travel to fisherman’s village market or Chaweng Beach. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene get away on the quieter coast of Samui.

Absolute bliss. We booked last minute, did a quick bit of research and could not have picked better! From the moment we arrived we knew we had struck lucky. Greeted from our airport transfer by the concierge team, and welcomed by Gun, immediately we could see the hotel and its views were breathtaking. Serene peace and calm, in beautiful immaculately kept grounds. Handsome and very private bungalows on stilts looking out to sea, we had the most stunning view from our verandah (No 128) we loved watching the incredible sunsets, the fishermen, and the squid boats in the distance at night. We enjoyed the fully private beach with friendly and attentive Sports Team who readied whatever equipment we wished to take out, Hobie Cat, Kayaks and Paddleboards. (We'll try the motor yacht next time! ) It was a superb way to explore, enjoy the sunshine whilst not being crazy hot, and have fun! The large infinity pool was a lovely place to laze under the parasols watching the palms sway, mesmerising! It was never crowded anywhere (maybe a tiny bit busier perhaps one day when we went to breakfast a little later!) Breakfast, I must add, was FABULOUS!!! Everything and more you could wish for. Everyday different treats and surprises too, different freshly baked pastries, fruits, flans, jams, all the foods! Beam who we saw most days was delightful, as were all the restaurant team, and the chefs cooking away on the egg/noodle station (Breakfast is a definite highlight here, don't miss it, its GREAT!) Nearby, we walked and found super eateries for dinner, simple, utterly, totally authentic which is what we were looking for - adventure, trying new places and being a bit daring. We loved it! (Look out for the Black Rose beach bar restaurant (out on the kayaks and to the right past the headland) a shack serving the BEST freshly prepared food we tasted! Also to the left, Cape Away, another fun beachside restaurant, a bit of music for a fun change (SUnday afternoon dancers and Fire Show was fun) (not so shack-like though) We visited the busier places of Fishermans Village night market etc all easily reached in an inexpensive taxi - the hotel will drive you too, for a very fair fee, wherever you wish to go and just add it to your room. And then returned to beautiful Napasai where we were always welcomed back by the Concierge after our adventuring - particular thanks to Kit who was superb, charming and kind. Besides our huge and beautiful, authentic feeling bungalow - high wooden beamed ceilings, polished wood floors, heaps of space and comfort - and the wonderfully kept lush grounds (which are extensive!) we both agreed, the service here and the lovely courteous friendliness of the staff - from the reception desk to the gardeners on their discreetly quiet caddy/carts going around the place - every single person was so kind and friendly, it made us feel we were in the lap of luxury, and truly spoilt. There are so many places in the world to visit, and we'll get to some more of those I'm sure. But Napasai, we absolutely loved it; a real chance to unwind in gentle peaceful luxury, we will definitely be back.

We chose this hotel on a friend’s recommendation, and we’ll gladly recommend it in turn. The hotel: The setting is stunning. The gentle view from breakfast, then the pool, framed by palm trees stretching toward the beach, is absolutely beautiful. You never tire of looking—or taking photos—from morning to sunset, as the light changes. The hotel is impeccably maintained. We had fun noticing how wherever you look, nothing disturbs the eye—no cables, litter, plastic, or anything broken. Everything is spotless. Bravo to the team! The site is extremely peaceful—no noisy beach clubs, no loud pool music, and no traffic around (unlike many other beaches and hotels we visited). After spending the day exploring busy places like Fisherman’s Village, Chaweng, or Lamai, it felt like such a luxury to return to Napasai for a calm swim in the pool and a sunset drink on the private beach. Truly one of the best moments of the day. The pool: The green mosaic, the shape, the palm trees, and the infinity view over the sea—what a gem! And so peaceful! Here, everything is about relaxation, luxury, and serenity. The room: We stayed in a Sea View room, set on a higher row behind the Ocean View rooms. Given the price difference, we were happy with our choice—we still had a lovely partial view of the beach and ocean from both the room and the terrace. The room is spacious, with a separate bathroom area. Materials are natural and high quality, and everything was in perfect working order. We toured the hotel out of curiosity—the higher villas offer even more expansive views. Buggies can be ordered via the hotel app or by phone if you want to avoid the uphill walk. The beach: One of Napasai’s unique charms is that the beach is truly private—thanks to its natural setting (a big advantage on Koh Samui). Rocks block access from the right, and a small stream makes it tricky to come in from the left—though it’s still accessible for guests. At low tide, small rocks and coral are exposed. You can borrow water shoes from the sports center, but we recommend bringing your own—they're useful all over the island. There's also a clear swimming channel on the left of the beach with safe access to the sea. Taking a kayak out is a lovely way to explore nearby Maeman beach (to the right) or Ban Tai (to the left). We strongly recommend Ban Tai, one of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches on the island. To get there, just cross the stream (almost dry in May). You’ll find tall palms perfect for Instagram, a wide rock-free swimming area, and a charming beach bar right on the sand—Cape Away—with gorgeous rattan and wood decor, tables, lounges and beans bags. Great for a drink or a lunch. Hotel restaurants: Breakfast was lovely—not over the top, but it was low season (May), and the hotel wasn’t crowded. You’ll find local dishes (dim sum, bao, noodle soup), an omelet station with plenty of options, fresh fruit juices, tropical fruits, and pastries inspired by local flavors ( coconut croissants!). We ate at the hotel restaurant twice, including once for the evening seafood buffet. The food was excellent, and service was attentive—as it is everywhere in the hotel. That said, prices felt a bit high. That evening, we also got to see a fire show, a must-see on Koh Samui, and fun to watch up close by the water. I took some beautiful photos! Gym: There’s a stepper, a treadmill, free weights, and a multifunction weight machine. Just a heads-up—if the hotel is full, it might feel limited. Spa: I tried the Special Napasai Massage (very pricey, but I won a -50% voucher in the hotel’s daily raffle). One of the best massages of my life—and I’ve had quite a few during my years as an expat in Asia! Service and staff: Everyone was absolutely lovely—attentive, helpful, welcoming. Whether at the restaurant, pool, or beach, all staff were smiling, courteous, and delivered service worthy of a 5-star hotel. A few notes: - The location is remote—you can't walk anywhere from the hotel. We downloaded Grab (the local Uber), which worked perfectly. - Hotel services prices (cars, excursions, massages…) are high for Koh Samui. - Relying on the Napasai app to answer questions and requests can feel a bit impersonal and limited. I would have appreciated, during the check-in, some recommendations on what not to miss around the island. Finally, a special mention to Alla, the Guest Services Manager—charming and very professional. She took our feedback on excursions informations very seriously and immediately followed up, showing real care for guest satisfaction and continuous improvement. We’ll look back on our stay with joy—and we’ll likely be back!

Tranquil Bliss! What a beautiful hotel with amazing staff. We were staying on Chaweng and wanted to escape the noisy hustle & bustle and came across this amazing place. Everything is perfect, the extra touches will be cherished always. Will definitely return ☺️

We spent 10 days at the hotel as returning guests. The hotel has been sold by the Belmond group, the quality of the services we were used to has not changed. The relaxed meet and greet at breakfast time is the usual nice informal meeting with either the guest relation or the F&B manager. The kitchen and the chef continue to perform to an excellent standard, perhaps the breakfast selection seems to have been slightly reduced, but is still more than satisfactory. Egg-captain, soup-station, and open buffet, fresh fruit juices, excellent espresso or iced coffee. The greatest asset of this almost 20-year-old hotel is that all the rooms and public furnishings are made of genuine materials, wood, ceramics, woven fabrics, in an age when natural materials are sadly on the wane. The interior of the hotel, the public areas and the cleanliness of the rooms are impeccable. The room service is precise, courteous (typical of South-East Asia) and infinitely polite. The reception is a high school of guest handling, the welcome and service to guests, the courteous and friendly yet direct style, as well as the garden, swimming pool and beach all make you want to stay. The hotel's landscape and garden designers have made the best of the area, with the infinity pool area showing a different mesmerising face at every part of the day. Anyone looking to relax will find their place here.
