More than the sum of it’s parts

I don’t have experience of other resorts on the island. Maybe some look newer, maybe some might look more luxurious. Somehow this turns out to be the pretty much a perfect experience. Staff are fabulous, location on an incredibly private beach is amazing. Rooms spacious and traditional finish. Restaurants were to a very high standard. Without being overly flash it just does it all near perfectly. I can’t think of any better hotel I’ve stayed in. Remarkable.

Absolutely magical

This hotel is magically situated with a stunning view of the island opposite. The entire experience was super. We had a stunning private villa with its own pool, garden and beach. Our in villa BBQ was spectacular with very generous catering. This is the perfect place to come and relax in very beautiful surroundings. Every single member of staff was very friendly, slick and professional. I would recommend this hotel to anyone searching for somewhere special to stay in Koh Samui and hope to return soon.

Wonderful hotel and amazing staff

We had an amazing week in Napasai. We stayed at a 3-bedroom waterfront villa with our own pool and beach. The villa was lovely and grounds very attractive, but it was quite far from the main area where breakfast, gym etc are located. The positive side of this was that it was nice and quiet and mostly we didn’t mind the walk and when it was too hot, the team running the buggies were very prompt and helpful. We found the reception team, especially Ae and Beer, extremely helpful, organising us drivers for various trips. I would advise guests to rent a car or ask for a driver to take yourself elsewhere in Koh Samui for dinner. The hotel breakfast is lovely, but we were not blown away by either of the restaurants for dinner. My only word of caution is for travellers with younger children: the villas are not actually a single building with a central lounge, but separate buildings. So our 3-bed villa was four separate buildings, all on different levels on the hillside. For us, with older children this was not an issue, though we would have felt more together if we’d been in one apartment. I imagine the hotel would advise against this type of accommodation if someone had smaller children.

Beautiful small resort

An absolutely beautiful small hotel resort, I would definitely recommend it! The pool is very nice with a great view over the private beach - the views of sunset are some of the best I’ve seen. All the food I had was very tasty as was the food we made in the cookery class. The staff were so friendly and helpful - you could communicate with them easily through the Belmond app. Loved my stay, thank you!

Nice hotel, great staff.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were great, particularly at breakfast service and at the beachfront. We were woken at 6am daily by the sprinkler system hitting the bungalow, and housekeeping knocking at 7.30 am, so make sure you put your rope over the entrance which means do not disturb. I asked at reception if they could move the 6am starts, so I wish I’d done that after the first one as they did change it until later. We got taxis to Fisherman’s village which was great in the evening, and close by. We ate at the restaurant one night, but found it no better than where we started going, and much more expensive.
