Melati Beach Resort & Spa

We were at Melati as a group of friends with families. To begin with Melati will live upto your expectations of a five star resort. The rooms are well done, the grounds are beautiful with a lot of greenery and an artificial water stream running through the gardens. The pool and the pool bar are great to spend time at. The food at their View restaurant is amazing. We were in the Private Pool room which was pretty big with a sizeable living area, some games to play lile chess and cards, a nespresso coffee machine. The Room too was nice with a King Sized bed, or maybe even larger than that. The staff, specially the housekeeping staff are at their toes attending to every little need of yours promptly and with a smile on their face. Seriously, the one thing that can cover up the little negatives(which i talk about below) at any holiday resort is the staff. Hats off to them. At the restaurant too, chef Jonathan and the other wait staff was so very attentive to our needs. Chef Jonathan and Rohan managed to whip up some special vegetarian meals to suit our pallette. A big shout out to the housekeeping and the staff at the restaurants. However, a few things that may need improvement, Since this is a very nature inclined resort, Pool rooms need to have the Pool area covered with a rollable ceiling or a proper roof, and not have a garden with mud around the pool. We consistently had mud falling in the pool and some millipeeds on the pool for most of the stay. Hardly could use the pool without continuously cleaning it even when in the pool. Also, maybe do away with the huge stairs in the pool. They make the already small pool much smaller. Secondly, the buggies are too slow to arrive. However once you walk around the resort you will realise, most places are a short distance if you take the central garden route. Lastly, The private beach was really private, however a bit rocky. One thing to note is that tuere is nothing much around the resort, so you will have to cab it up to any place around the island, and the cabs in Koh samui seem to be a bit more expensive than across other cities in thailand.

For the last 3 years we stay for 15 nights . The food was great the room was very nice the gardens and pools were well.looked after. The beach are was small but really tidy. 99% of the staff were just fantastic polite professional and help you anytime and I really wanted to give 5 out of 5. But the last trip we had we got conned out of money we were owed by a manager called MR SOM. I know it was our own fault and I only mentioned it because I would not like it to happen to anybody else who visits the Melati. I truly feel sorry for all the staff but would still like to mention just some of the staff that were fantastic. Ning, Gift,Chef Ken, Chef Bob, Baddie Ji Ji, Mam, Kevin The Chef at breakfast, Simon the boss. There were many more like the room cleaners, gardeners, the people on the front desk really everyone except MR SOM This for us is very sad because we will not be going again and will truly miss the staff we mentioned so much.

There are no words to describe how perfect this resort is. From the second we arrived, we were welcomed into paradise…the resort itself is stunning and has everything you could want…..lush greenery, a gorgeous pool and a beautiful private white sandy beach. The rooms are perfect…spacious, clean, modern and everything you could think of is provided including a beach bag to take to the pool or beach. The food in every restaurant is heavenly, including the pool bar food….we loved both restaurants but spent lots of time at The View as we loved to eat by the sea. Both the kids food and the adults are beyond delicious. We loved the happy hour by the pool every day and found it very hard to leave the resort for day trips, but when we did they were seamlessly organised by the tour guide in the hotel reception. But the absolute icing on the cake of this resort is the staff. Every member of staff from reception to pool bar to restaurants to cleaning staff are so friendly, kind, helpful and chatty and make every effort to get to know your name and to make sure your stay is perfect. A very special mention to Tommy, Sunny, Arm, Dome and James who took such good care of us every day and went above and beyond every day. The kids club is incredible, run by lovely Emily and Ethan, you don’t have to book your child in all day as they have different craft activities running every hour, so your child can pick and choose…..ours ended up choosing to do them all as they loved the staff so much. This resort offers the perfect balance between relaxation and experiencing Thailand at its best. Highly recommend to anyone and will definitely return. The Davies Family c

We spent our honeymoon at Melati Beach Resort, and it was absolutely perfect. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always very accommodating. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcome and well taken care of. We would come back anytime and highly recommend it.
