Melati Beach Resort & Spa

My wife and I just returned from a glorious week-long vacation at the Melati Beach Resort & Spa on the Thailand island of Ko Samui. To say that our stay at Melati was fantastic is an understatement. Beginning the moment that we arrived at the resort, when the manager Noni and his staff greeted us, until we checked out, the service was impeccable. Everyone at Melati treats you like family – almost like royalty, always calling us by name. The resort provided transportation from and to the airport, and the resort is so spacious, they provided free buggy rides upon request from our pool villa suite to the reception area and back; we rarely had to wait more than a minute for the buggy to pick us up! The pool villa suite in which we stayed was fully appointed and spacious. There were 2 separate bathrooms, two televisions - one in the bedroom and one in the living room - and separate temperature controls for the bedroom and living room. The bed was extremely comfortable, which isn’t always the case at many of the hotels we have stayed. Outside, we enjoyed our good-sized private pool, sundeck, and Thai Sala. The pool is perfect for cooling off, a swim, and just relaxing as it is equipped with jacuzzi jets. We even enjoyed a "floating breakfast" in the pool one morning! Melati is made for a tranquil and comfortable getaway; it is beautifully landscaped and is located on the beach on Thongson Bay on the northeast side of the island. There are 2 pools, one of which is for adults only. Whether relaxing poolside next to the beach, on the beach, or at The View Restaurant, the views of the Gulf of Thailand and the neighboring island of Ko Pha Ngan are both sensational and calming. Dining at The View Restaurant was incredible with its beachfront views, excellent cuisine, and fantastic and friendly service provided by Som and his staff, including Fon, Mam, Kevin, Alessio, Slash, Sunny, Shine, Ant, and Yeen, who also served us food and drinks while relaxing on the beach. The Saturday night BBQ buffet and breathtaking fire show are not to be missed! Did I mention that our stay included a daily breakfast buffet with personal made-to-order requests taken? Fantastic food and excellent service are also the name of the game at the resort’s Thai restaurant, Kan Sak Thong Restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious Thai buffet while be entertained by Thai dancers performing a skillful demonstration of the Lao Kra Top Mai or Thai bamboo dance. All of the dining staff, including those I mentioned before as well as Ning, Gift, and Na among others at the Thai restaurant, cheerfully greeted us at every meal that we enjoyed at the resort. Melati also scheduled us a private half-day scenic tour of many of Ko Samui’s sights. The tour guide/driver named Peach detailed the island’s history and culture, and he was very amiable and patient in answering all my questions. A highlight of our stay at Melati was the very relaxing Coconut Experience at the Melati Spa; my wife and I very much enjoyed the 2-and-a-half-hour body scrub, body massage and compress, and coconut oil head massage. Again, I cannot end without mentioning the incredible service provided by the manager Noni and other staff including Ang, Sam, Batman, and so many others. Their incredible customer service, along with the resort’s beachfront location and its superior accommodations, ensure that the Melati Beach Resort & Spa is worthy of its 5-star rating. We can’t wait to return for our next stay at Melati!

We had the most amazing time at this resort. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to make our stay more memorable. We wanted to mention, in particular, Som, Mam, Kevin, Phadthai and Yeen from the View Restaurant. We would recommend this resort to anyone without any hesitation. We all loved the pool and beach ⛱️ it was all very fun and enjoyable.

The attention of the staff was magnificient, and the food decilious and the buffet breakfast very varied. We would like to highligth the attitude of Fon who cared about every detail of our stay even things such as asking for cream for our burning skin always with a smile .🥰 The hotel facilities are beautiful and the gardens are very well-maintained. They contribute to make a dreamed honeymoon stay.

My family and I spent 14 days at Melati and it was honestly such an amazing experience. The resort is peaceful and beautiful, and everything was always clean and well looked after. The beach is just a short walk away and the water was so warm and calm. We spent time there almost every day and it was one of our favorite parts of the trip. What really made the stay so special was the staff. Everyone was kind, helpful, and always ready to assist us. Reception was available whenever we needed anything and made everything super easy. Housekeeping kept our room spotless and the whole resort had such a safe and family-friendly atmosphere. We also went on a few excursions which were so much fun and really well organized. The food was also really good. Every meal was fresh and tasty, and there was always something nice to choose from. I especially want to thank Fon. She was always smiling and so friendly, and every time we saw her she made us feel so welcome. Her energy was so positive and warm, and it genuinely made our day better just seeing her around. She really stood out during our stay and we will always remember how lovely she was. I also want to thank Mam, Gift, Phadthai, and Kevin. They were all so kind and helpful and really made our time at the resort even better. Thank you again to everyone at Melati Resort for making this such a special trip. We already miss it and really hope we can come back one day.
