Melati Beach Resort & Spa

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Melati Beach Resort & Spa. Amazing experience from the beginning of our arrival. The whole staff (reception, housekeeping, Pool Bar and View Restaurant) was incredibly friendly and attentive. Our highlight was the visit at the Kan Sak Thong Restaurant. Highly recommended for its amazing exquisite food. The Chef Ken and his whole team (Mrs.Gift etc.) created every evening an unique and special atmosphere. The dishes created by Ken are incredibly delicious, prepared with high professionality and passion. Higly recommended!!! Thank you for this unforgettable experience!!!

We have been to Melati for our Honey Moon. The strongest asset of the Resort is the staff, always cheerful, kind and accomodating. Special notice to Fon, Phad Thai and Jonathan (the Executive Chef) that even in the busiest moments could find a moment to talk and give a piece of advice to us. They are the best! The Resort is well structured with 2 big pools, 2 restaurants and a bar, the rooms are wide and cleaned deeply everyday, the view is amazing and the food is delicious with a broad offer for breakfast and dinner. A couple of bad notices: - quite old room, especially windows and doors with too big spaces allowing insects to enter the room (we found a couple of big ones) - not the best position to reach other places, it was mandatory to use a taxi to trvel around the island or reach a different beach, quite far away - not so many activities apart from the few offered - no spa (only massage room) It was an overall great experience!

Spent the 3 nights of a 10 day trip at the Melati. The resort is huge with beautiful gardens and two pools including the always quiet and relaxing 'sanctuary' adults pool. I was in a Grand Deluxe room on the ground floor which featured a front garden area which was nice to sit in during the morning. There is also an outdoor, enclosed bathtub, however as it was so hot and humid the idea of a bath wasn't overly appealing to me! Being a tropical island, there are a large amount of mosquitoes throughout. The hotel tries to stay on top of this by lighting citronella candles in the room each night which is good, plus, they do a daily (?) pest control spray. I would recommend taking some mosquito repellant with you. I was also woken at about 1am on my final day by the stench of sewerage. It was like it was coming through the airvents. If I was staying on for additional nights I would have requested a change of room. I took a Grab to the nearby area of Choeng Mon, which has a great beach and lots of massage places, convenience stores and a few other places worth checking out for a change of scenery if you start to get a feeing of cabin fever at the Melati.

Incredible hotel with brilliant staff. We stayed over Easter with 3x children and couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. Staff were fantastic, especially Marisa, who was always on hand to answer our queries promptly and without fuss. All staff were excellent and rooms were spotless. Our pool was cleaned daily and the evening treats in our room were a lovely bonus. Main pool is excellent and right on the beach. Breakfast has a huge variety and staff were also more than accommodating there too. Kids club was a real treat with most activities free and also next to the pool area. Would highly recommend. It’s a bit remote, taxi to Fisherman’s village, but that was fine for us as the quality of the hotel makes up for it.

Wow, what a place! From the welcome, to the pool villa, the gardens, both pools, service - fantastic. This was a highlight of our trip to Thailand, breakfast options were excellent, restaurant(s) both very good standard, really peaceful & a real sanctuary with direct access to the beach. Special shout out to Padthai, the happiest man in the world! We would not hesitate returning here, it deserves every single one the 5 stars.
