About the Hotel

Renovated in 2014, Nikki Beach Resort Koh Samui is the slickest member of the global Nikki Beach brand, whose Miami Beach flagship earned the reputation as being the sexiest place on Earth, according to The London Observer. Indeed, the Beach Club is the place to be in Koh Samui – Sunday parties are epic, and the signature mojitos go down smooth. During the rest of the week, the atmosphere is more laid back. Don’t miss Wednesday night’s Cinema on the Sand, when classic movies accompany gourmet cuisine by the Bay of Thailand.

Reviews for Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Koh Samui

Great experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Great stay on a luxury escape deal, came with daily free cocktails, daily breakfast and a choice of lunch or dinner (3 course meal). Rooms were great. Lunch was brilliant , as was the cocktail. Dinner wasn’t amazing, but good given it was included in the package. Would recommend choosing the 3 course lunch over the 3 course dinner. Would recommend choosing the ground floor rooms, can walk straight into the pool. Staff were very attentive. Sunset was incredible. Note, very warm in Thailand in April/May, so pool was quite warm too. Overall, great stay and good value for money.

Terrible hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This hotel is clearly not at the level we expected, it is a big letdown for us as Titanium GHA members. Pool: The hotel has 2 pools, the club pool, open to everyone coming for lunch/drinks, and the long pool that is for guests only. We had the worst experience with the club pool. After our first dip in the club pool, we noticed some red/orange marks on our swimsuits that would not go away with soap. We tried asking at the reception, but they had no clue, and did not follow-up at all. We then tried to talk to the pool bar guy, and after that the assistant F&B manager came to talk to us. That guy was useless. He started by trying to put the blame on our sunscreen lotion, then came back afterwards and said their guys checked the pool and that the levels were OK (whatever that means). Then he mentioned the guys dove in the pool early morning and did not find anything. I did notice that the poll had many tiles missing (outside or inside), and you could see the same red/orange color behind the missing tiles. We also found out there was lots of that red/orange dust in the water, accumulated almost everywhere. Finally the hotel manager came to talk to us, and at least he apologized. I showed him the pool and he agreed that this was a pool issue (not like the other useless manager trying to blame my sunscreen !). As a gesture they offered to refund half price on one night to cover for our ruined swimsuits, and offered the transfer back to the airport. I still don't understand how a pool can become in such a derelict state without anyone noticing… Housekeeping: This is a disaster, probably the worst housekeeping i've seen in any hotels i visited. We often saw the housekeeping ladies idling on their phone, doing nothing for a solid 10 minutes, while most of the rooms were not done yet. On the first night our room got turndown, with beds made, a little sweet treat dropped on the bed, and curtains drawn. On the second night however, the treat was dropped outside, and no turndown was done. I called reception, mentioned that they missed it, and i expected it to be done. On the third night, same, no turndown. This time i called and asked for turndown to be done right now. The turndown team came, and tried to BS that i was there and that's why they didn't do it. That was a lie, there was clearly no one in the room, and they didn't even bothered to check. I told them i expected the turndown to be done every night, to which they replied they would do it "just for you". The turndown was done on the subsequent days, but we noticed our room was the only one to get this… On one night there was a towel we purposely left on the floor (it was dirty), but instead of clearing it up, or even leaving it there, they put it on the back of the armchair ! Disgusting. Room: We had 2 rooms next to the long swimming pool, with a connected Twin in between. The Twins were added after the initial construction of the rooms, and you can tell. When in the Twin, the only thing you can hear is the aircon compressor. The aircon was also smelling bad / musty, usually it means it's not clean and has mold in it. The bed was really not comfortable, not something i expect for a so-called 5 star hotel. The pillows were really uncomfortable too. On one day we saw housekeeping bringing in a mattress on a trolley, and the mattress had some black dots of mold on the side. Sure enough they still installed it in the room, disgusting. There is an outside shower, but there is a security camera pointing directly at the shower… Breakfast: This is the only meal we had at the hotel, and this is clearly sub-par. The service was terrible, they would always get our order wrong, despite repeating what we said and writing it down. Sometimes they would bring items no one ordered, probably from another table… The choices at the buffet are not very varied, and the quality is so-so.

Nice place to chill

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We have spent 10 nights at Nikki, as a group of four families and we really enjoyed a lot. the place is a good mix of chill and party. Villas are still nice and functional even though they need some refurbishing. the room service is very good. the beachclub staff is excellent and very well managed by Mauro. food in the beach club was very tasty. all in all we can advise to visit this place.

Wonderful resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Hotel/Villa's, swimming pool and view are stunning. Unfortunately - far away from everything. Takes you 45 minutes to go to other areas, around the hotel there is nothing going on. The hotel has one restaurant: Escape, limited menu but the waiters are amazing, they are super friendly, make you leave with a smile for sure. Special thanks to Biam/Bam - who always checked multiple times per day if we needed anything. He makes the extra miles for you as guest. He made our vacation. We would recommend Nikki to do more entertainment in the evening, especially because the hotel is far away from everything. Restaurant closes early. As well there is no bar. Maybe a fireshow in the evening? A BBQ on the beach for the hotel guests, a live band, or open the bar in the evening.
