Your own personal slice of paradise

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

If you want a peaceful, and idyllic location, this is the hotel for you. It is set in tranquil and tropical location, the perfect mid point of the beach and the jungle. The resort itself was so relaxed and chill, you had no choice but to melt away into the calm. The resort feels like it’s your own personal slice of paradise, so much so one day we were even the only people in the communal pool - a great benefit of most villas having a private pool. A particular highlight for us was the saxophonist who performed at the pool on Saturday afternoon. Everything was completed at your own pace, breakfast was no rush and you could have spent 3-4hrs without any issues. The food both at breakfast and dinner was absolutely delightful. At breakfast we were encouraged to order multiple courses and nothing was too much to ask for - a notable mention was that they opened breakfast 30 mins early for our flight home to ensure we had eaten. Dinner was also amazing, it was not expensive by any stretch of the imagination, obviously eating at a local place is cheaper, but we found the hotel Thai food to be better most of the time. We would like to mention Boss who worked in the bar and restaurant in the evening, and Little who served breakfast in the morning. All staff were amazing and always genuinely happy to see you, but these 2 individuals had a certain level of care that went above and beyond. For us the most unique and useful feature of the hotel is the app. Any questions are replied to within a matter of minutes. This just makes life so easy here, and adds to the relaxing feeling. Any issues were a quick message without even having to move. I think this is a power move from the hotel as any small niggles guests have can be completely remedied with the guest having to put in a minimal amount of effort to the case, meaning their experience is far improved. The room was beautiful and clean. The ability for the mini bar contents to be removed so you could use the fridge for your own use is a great feature! Especially with 711 being a 5 min walk. Our only minor suggestion would be for the rooms to have a small make up/vanity mirror as the bathroom one was rather big and difficult to see those finer details. Overall this hotel is a hidden gem, quite literally. And we would certainly recommend to others, as we are planning to return ourselves. Note: Going in September is not ‘Rainy Season’ as you may expect. We had bright sunshine, and 30 degree heat everyday. The only rain occurred on one night where it down poured for all of 5 minutes and then it was lovely for the rest of the evening - nothing was wet either thanks to the heat!

Although the hotel has changed its name and some of the staff are new, I was happy to reunite with familiar faces from the past. Aside from the age restriction, the resort remains exactly the same, and the staff continue to be flexible and accommodating. The Deluxe Pool Villa was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was served à la carte, offering a variety of enjoyable options. I plan to stay longer next time. I am particularly fond of the large, sacred tree located at the on-site restaurant. However—and this is not the hotel's fault—I was annoyed by Western guests who disregarded the rules and smoked while walking, spreading fumes; I would appreciate it if the hotel could strictly enforce the policy against this.

Perfect beach stay!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Had a great stay here! The private beach was perfect and they had different kayaks, snorkels and life jackets for use. The pool area had so many different chairs, day beds and etc so it was so great for spending the day at the pool. Food was good too - I loved having the breakfast every morning overlooking the beach and was really impressed with dinner there too. The villa itself was spacious and very comfortable.

Fabulous holiday.

We had the deluxe pool room which was perfect for our stay, extrodinarily clean, with a lovely style and layout. Our room pool is big enough for myself to swim laps, a huge bath and comfortable bed for my partner and I. Staff picked us up straight from the airport and we were at the hotel within 15 minutes, we were greeted with smiles and pleasantries and offered cool towels, delicious infused water and snacks. The staff couldn't be friendlier and made us feel most welcome, escorting us to our room and providing all information we would need. Staff have been going above and beyond for us, we have thoroughly enjoyed talking to front desk people especially who are helping us learn new Thai phrases to use (we have been asking lots!). They use an app to communicate with guests, this has been very helpful when we have requested water, extra services, yoga classes and kayaking (free) they respond promptly and service in under 5 minutes! We have enjoyed breakfast and love the way they serve a la carte, made fresh to order with a small buffet. We have loved that alongside the typical breakfast menu items we order fresh, you also have the option to order traditional Thai food dishes. We have tried everything! It has all been delicious, fresh and made to order. In the evenings we have enjoyed sitting by the sea for dinner, there is a vast menu with many food dishes. My partner has enjoyed pizza, however I have been trying many different Thai dishes, all excellent. My favourite yet has been the papaya salad and the seafood 'noodles' with shredded young papaya standing in for the noodles (i prefer gluten free) however there are many more tasty dishes to try as well as tempting desserts like the coconut sorbet, creme brulee as well as chocolate cake and more. The atmosphere is exactly what we were looking for quiet and serene. There are options to leave the hotel for exciting day trips and the team recommend and support this. Location is great, although they have a perfectly calm, pretty private beach there is another nearby and the temples, nigh markets and ferry ports are a 10/15 minute drive away.

Beautiful villas!

Beautiful villas and location. Alcohol is a touch on the expensive side but the food is well priced. Well located for airport and central. Beach is lovely and the pools are fab. The place is very clean too!
