If your thinking of coming to the outrigger in Koh Samui think again I’m here right now and there is extensive building works going on around the pool and villas The staff are pleasant the food is ok but expensive The pool furniture is old and some beds are broken and not that many The beach is very course gravel they do provide shoes to go on the beach The water in the villas is salt we didn’t know that anytime of booking there not worth the money they charge for them as most are covered with trees so very little sun light is getting to them to sun bath on the outside decks Room service is ok they do clean the room Pool service is slow on certain days depends who’s working The spa is good but expensive cheaper to go into town if your on a budget This resort is about 5 years and a lot of money spent on it away from being a place I would come back to it’s not a 5* resort yet in my opinion

We had a perfect time at Outrigger. The staff was absolutely friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. The resort is not too big, thats why it was never too full in all areas. The breakfast was rich and everthing you need, you could order from the menu as much as you liked and more from the buffet. The food in the restaurant is also delicious and you find everything you want on the menu. We had also a few spa treatments which were absolutely relaxing and enjoyable. The beach is a bit stony, but I didnt need watershoes,it was not disturbing, because i dont walk in the sea..i swim. The bungalows are well furnished and have everthing you need, inclusive the plunge pool, which was large enough to refresh. The only thing that needs a bit more maintenance are the wooden floorboards and railing around the bungalow,it came a bit in the years..

I cannot recommend this hotel enough - we stayed here for 2 nights as a little bit of luxury whilst backpacking. We got upgraded to a private pool garden suite. I've never experienced anything like it. We always dream about going back. Food was unreal too.

We have just spent 8 amazing days at this beautiful resort. Only wish we had of booked for longer. We booked a 1 bedroom pool villa (210). It was Luxury and we had our very own pool, with a large verandah a very comfortable outdoor sun lounge plus outdoor table and chairs. Pool is very clean and great to relax in a day of sightseeing of afternoon market shopping. It all beautifully screened but lovely shurbs and trees so peaceful. The Villa itself was spacious and comfortable, It was well appointed with seperate bedroom, bathroom are and dressing area. It had a great rain shower and bath in a seperate room. Bed was very comfortable and the pillows we wanted to take home with us. Our room was well cleaned and the lovely young lady always greeted us with a beautiful smile and asked how we were enjoying our stay and checked that we had everything we needed. I apologise but I have forgotten her name but thank you for keeping our villa so clean. We would also like to give a special mention to BMW, Louise and Jenny in Reception. You three together with your staff working with you are THE BEST. We thank you for helping to make our holiday so fantastic. To the lovely staff at the restrurant and beach cafe where we had breakfast each morning, dinner most evenings and the cocktails during happy hour (2 for 1) plus all of those delicious watermelon shakes you made for us. We thank you all. A special thank you to Da who makes the best American coffee and to Jub and Noom (apologies if I have mispelt your name) and the waiter I whose name I cant remember and especially to the Chef who makes the best Belgium waffles. What we did notice about this Resort is that everyone us hapoy staff always greeted you with a smile and were willing to assist. The focus was on ensuring we were having a wonderful holiday. The Beach while we were there wash clean, there is a nice area to swim or take one of the kyaks out on the watee, there is white sand in the beach and they do have reef shoes for you to use uf yiu want to walk ir swin as there are rocks around buf what we noticed was that people actually enjoyed walking on the rockx when the tide was out. Shuttle - there is a shuttle that goes into Cheweng at 11am and 2.30pm but on Fridays there are extra shuttles. You just need to book at reception. WASHING - the Resort does provide a laundry service however it can be expensive. But just outside the front gate on the right where you can but water soft drinks or beer there is Rasa and her husband who provide a laundry service which is great and not expensive. They also run a taxi service to town $300baht. They also do tours and have reliable car and motor bike rentals. Good quality tailor- If you are wanting to have clothes made Creative Tailor in Cheweng we used are very happy with the qualuty of the work and quality of fabric used. The owners are a husband and wife team and they are focused on customer satisfaction and return business rather than making a quick dollar. Their prices are reasonable and they keep your measurements for 5 years.

We stayed here for 7 nights earlier this month. We loved every minute. The rooms were gorgeous. We had a one bedroom pool villa. The pool was large enough to swim in with a bench area on the side to sit if you just wanted to relax. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The shower area was very spacious with a rain fall shower head or a hand held addition. The deck area was spacious as well with a day bed or loungers built into the deck. The pool had plenty of lights in case you wanted to take a dip at night. The air conditioning was great for the most part. The toilet area was big but a bit of a smell that would not go away and was a little run down but by no means a deal breaker. We had a little bit of issues with water backup issues under the bathtub area after we showered but nothing that encroached on our personal space. Oliver the manager was great to deal with and went above and beyond to try and rectify. The restaurant was great. The breakfast buffet everyday was excellent with a gorgeous view. The service was impeccable with everyone you passed saying hello and making you feel welcome. We received a bottle of sparkling wine and a fruit platter as it was our anniversary. We also received a free dinner as we stayed 7 nights which is considered a long stay. If you wanted ice, it was delivered to your room. I really can't say enough about the service. You were really made to feel as a valued guest and not just an account number here. Tan at the restaurant even wanted a hug when we last seen her before checking out. Loved this place. The beach here was rocky but nothing that stopped us from enjoying it. They provide guests with water shoes and snorkeling equipment. There is also some coral off the beach area for some snorkeling. We seen some small fish and eels. Pretty cool. Outside the hotel entrance is a little business that offers taxi/tours/laundry. I can't recommend this place enough. Rassah and her husband and friend Beau are the sweetest people you could ever meet. We used their services all week and will use them again when we return without hesitation. I wish their business was on trip advisor so I could give them a raving review. When we return we will stay here again. No question. I have stayed at 5 star resorts in other parts of the world and never felt as welcome as I was here. Other resorts in the world should take notes from this place. It was paradise to us.
