The resort is good, rooms are clean comfortable, the beach is small and rocky, pool is good, dining is casual and limited option, breakfast fare is simple with not much options. Overall an Ok experience. But bit pricey stay.

We spent 11 days here for our honeymoon and we were not disappointed. From the moment we were greeted at Koh Samui airport until the minute we were showed to our departure gate your staff we polite, friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding. Having a dairy intolerance I did have my reservations thinking that I would be stuck with the same dish but this was not the case at all. There is variety and the food is delicious. The view is perfect; what better way to eat breakfast or dinner than right by the ocean. Our room was very well equipped, and we loved that the hotel isn’t too big. It meant that we didn’t feel overcrowded or that there was a fight for a table when we wanted to eat. The layout of the hotel flows beautifully and we couldn’t recommend your place any higher. Thank you for making our honeymoon absolutely perfect!

We have just returned from a 7 day holiday at the Outrigger, having also visited the Ritz Carlton, Singapore on our way here, so our expectations were very high. We were not disappointed. From the moment one arrives here, a friendly welcome is assured, with incredibly polite and warm staff. Location is about 10 minutes from Chaweng - we enjoyed the feeling of being relatively close to the town, but far enough away that you feel ‘away from it all’. Some hotels on Koh Samui are located in Chaweng itself, which we would have found too busy and noisy, albeit the town was a great place to visit. There is laundry and a convenience store near to the hotel entrance, so great places to get the wardrobe refreshed and buy bulk water, snacks, etc., We had booked a pool villa which was spacious and well appointed and the pool was amazing. To be able to get up In The morning and to step into your own private pool was lovely. The beds have come in for some remarks on here lately - we found them absolutely excellent, very comfortable and just right, so are unable to understand the basis for any criticism here. Toiletries etc were refreshed regularly and the housekeeping staff were attentive, so polite, thorough and non-intrusive, best I’ve come across anywhere in the World. The restaurant (Edgewater) is beautifully located, overlooking the beach, a stunning place to eat. The variety of meals on offer is superb - my Wife is a vegetarian and there was so much choice for her of both Thai and Western cuisine. Food is prepared and presented excellently and is very tasty, highly recommended. The beach is gorgeous, photos attached. Swimming in the sea, or just paddling are easy and the hotel provides waterproof shoes for comfortable walking on the beach / in the surf. We really wanted to mention a few members of staff that made our stay so memorable - King, Nai and Tan, all of whom are restaurant staff, were warm, open and their service was incredible. They made such an effort to welcome us and make our stay feel so special, they would grace any other World class hotel, located anywhere. Please do pass on our high praise and thanks. All the staff were brilliant and deserve plaudits. In conclusion.....the best holiday we have ever had, anywhere in the World and the Outrigger comes supremely recommended by us. We will definitely be back and anyone considering this hotel, should not hesitate and should book with confidence. Truly, a magical paradise.

Very nice hotel at a beautiful and quiet location at a pretty much private beach. Still close to Chaweng by 2 daily free transport from and to the hotel or motor-scooter, which can be rented through the hotel at very acceptable price. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful split level pool and nice variety of sun bed location at the beach, pool and garden pool. Good food but if you like a change of dining scenery there are a couple of good local diners close by. Villa’s are spacious, clean, have a private sun deck with splash pool and very comfortable sturdy bed. All in all we had a great relaxing time at the Outrigger Koh Samui.

We booked this place mainly because of all the great reviews. We were a little disappointed mainly because they have the most uncomfortable beds I think I've ever slept on, Rock Hard. The furniture as well was very uncomfortable. For the price they charge they ought to at least put a pillow top covering over the mattress for comfort. We also had a leak in the roof were the skylight was. Not at all what we are used to from other hotels and resorts that we stay at in this price range The Beach was very small and extremely rocky with plastic bottles and trash washing up on the shore. Positives: Breakfast was great with good selection and the pool was really nice. Staff we're very friendly as well! Needs Improvement!!!
