Reviews for Pavilion Samui Villas & Resort

Mixed experience – nice resort, but serious issues with the villa and a big disappointment with reception

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 15 hours ago

I am currently staying at Pavilion Samui Villas & Resort in Lamai together with my son for a 14-day fitness bootcamp. We had a long trip – Dubai, then Germany, then here – so we were really looking forward to some quiet and rest. Unlike other tourist we need to wake up every morning at 6 h and go to bed quiet early around 22 h. We first booked a Pool Villa (H319), which looked fine at the beginning. The room itself is nice, said to be around 65 sqm, but I realized that this is only if count the outside area with a private pool. But the storage space is really poor – for two people staying two weeks, there is simply no place for clothes. We had to spread things around the room as there is no shelving or similar. Also, every time you walk from the pool back inside, you bring water everywhere, since the shower is not located near the pool door. Then came the real problem: the villa had a connecting door to the next unit. It was extremely noisy – we could literally hear everything from our neighbors, including their sexual private moments. As if we were in one room. It was very uncomfortable and disturbing especially because I was there with my 12-year-old son. The walls feel like paper, honestly this villa should not be rented like that. After that night we couldn’t sleep, missed the starting day of our boot camp and I went to the reception asking for a change. To be fair, the staff was polite, but offered us a downgrade a Hydro Pool Villa (H313) instead and for the difference in price, they offered me consumption at restaurants and bars. The new villa actually turned out to be much better. Higher ceiling, more space, better layout, shower right next to the pool – and more storage. Even the beds were bigger. I really recommend this type instead of the Pool Villa. Better room for less money. However, I was disappointed by the moving process. I packed all electronics, cosmetics, and loose items into bags and asked them to move the rest (clothes on hangers, t-shirts, shorts folded and piled, etc.) while we were away at training. Instead they refused, showing me photos of the room and saying “you need to pack everything yourself, it’s hotel policy.” After all the trouble we had, I found that attitude quite bad. They expected me to pack “travel-ready” and I told them their policy should first stop them from renting such a noisy room. In the end I moved everything myself with my son, which was exhausting. So overall, I’d say: 👉 The resort is nice, the staff mostly kind, and the Hydro Pool Villa is worth it. But the management should be much more flexible for long-stay guests who already had problems before. So this was very disappointing!

Pavilion - Best place to stay in Lamai

Absolutely loved our time at the Pavilion Resort. The staff are amazing, the food is fantastic and the location is just perfect. Such a relaxed feel to the resort, and the staff were always very friendly and attentive. We had a hydro pool villa which was so nice to use if you didn’t want to go to one of the other pools. The Wi-Fi throughout the resort was brilliant, never dropped out once during the 10 days we stayed there.

Good 3.5 Star Resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Good 3.5 star resort with pleasant staff. Spacious plunge pool room was good. Location was very good near the night food market, shops etc. Beach is good but would not want to swim there when the town creek opens up into the sea after rain. For a 3.5 start resort you need to accept no beach towels to change over at the pool, no cushions on the beach lounges and only an average breakfast with no freshly squeezed juices, no barista coffee or good non-fatty bacon.

Amazing!

Really nice resort that provides anything you need. Very beautiful room + plunge pool. Reception helped us out with scooter rental since there is a lot of scams/places where you have to give your passport. Everybody is very kind and we couldnt think of a better place to stay

Amazing Family Holiday

Stayed here with my family last week and had a great time loved the hotel. Right on the beach and away from busy areas like Chaweng so perfect for families. We booked with Luxury Escapes so had a daily meal included and the food was amazing!! Will be back
