Our stay at W Koh Samui from 21–26 January 2026 was exceptional from start to finish and stands as one of the most memorable resort experiences we have had in Southeast Asia. The experience began before arrival, with a welcome message advising that our room was ready early and upgraded a thoughtful gesture that immediately set the tone. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by the front-of-house and bell team, whose efficient, polished luggage handling and valet service reflected a property operating at the highest international standard. Room & Resort Experience Our villa was beautifully appointed and perfectly positioned to showcase the essence of island luxury. The clean architectural lines, generous indoor outdoor layout, and seamless flow toward the ocean views created an immediate sense of calm. Floor-to-ceiling glass, curated furnishings, and refined finishes delivered a space that felt both indulgent and understated. The resort’s iconic infinity pool, overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, is as striking in person as it appears in photographs. Whether viewed from above or poolside, the symmetry of the pool, the expansive deck, and the uninterrupted sea horizon create a setting that feels effortlessly exclusive. The floating circular lounges and cabanas added a distinctive W touch playful, yet sophisticated. One of the standout visual features of the property is the sculptural design elements integrated throughout the pool and resort grounds, including the artistic centrepieces and ambient lighting that transition beautifully from day to evening. The video and imagery capture this well, but the atmosphere in person is even more compelling. Dining, Bars & Atmosphere The Sip Bar team delivered an outstanding experience. We were personally guided to the ideal sunset location, with beach mattresses arranged comfortably and fresh towels thoughtfully provided. Service was intuitive rather than intrusive, and menu recommendations were spot-on. The quality of the food exceeded expectations, pairing creativity with consistently excellent execution. Evenings at Woo Bar were vibrant and memorable, particularly with prime seating for the fire show, which added energy without overwhelming the relaxed luxury atmosphere. Music, lighting, and service were perfectly balanced. Breakfast at Kitchen Table was another highlight. The team took time to explain the offerings, especially the local Thai dishes, adding depth and cultural context to the experience. The variety, freshness, and service made breakfast something to genuinely look forward to each morning. Service & Final Impressions What truly sets W Koh Samui apart is the staff. Every interaction from room preparation to check-out was handled with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. The front office team, in particular, demonstrated exceptional attention to detail throughout our stay. This property delivers not only on design and location, but on emotional connection making guests feel valued rather than processed. It is rare to find a resort that balances luxury, personality, and authenticity so well. W Koh Samui is without question one of the pearls of the Thai Gulf, and it has become a meaningful part of our journey together. We look forward to returning.

I’ve had a terrible experience at this resort. I am a solo woman travelling and after a long day walking on the beach I’ve decided to sit here to rest and reserve a sun lounger. Two of the bartenders or people working approached me in a very aggressive way. I wanted to buy drinks, spend money there but I felt very uncomfortable. This two guys asked me to leave and go somewhere else when there was no one there, and insulted me. I was polite and told them this is not how hospitality people approach their guests. Again very aggressive ! Check your staff !!!!

I had a fantastic stay at the W Hotel and couldn’t be more satisfied. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was vibrant, modern, and full of positive energy. The design is stunning, with great attention to detail in every corner of the hotel.
