I've been traveling for a couple months now..and am a little tired of the hotel grind. I've stayed at several W properties on my trip, but the W Koh Samui will blow your mind. It feels like I'm on the set of Jurassic Park, but without the dinosaurs, and replaced with an amazing team of staff. This is where you want to stay with your significant other. I loved our villa, the Woo bar, and the dining. Leaving the property is not even necessary. I was born and raised in Oahu, but the feeling of being in paradise was found here at the W Koh Samui. It's better experienced, than trying to explain how epic it is to stay here. The only downside is being slowed down by taking countless pictures of every nook and corner of the property. Everything is so Instagram-worthy that I've probably annoyed a few friends with my never ending posts lol. To keep this short and sweet..wonderful hotel, with an even better team of people keeping it running. I loved our stay, and can't wait to come back! :)

Fantastic stay for our honeymoon at The W. booked via a great luxury escapes deal. Amazing rooms and amenities, very friendly staff, great cocktails and food, epic view from top bar. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We just spent 7 days at the W and it has to be the most relaxing time I have had in many years. Tucked away with a private beach, the individual villas with their own pools are just the best spot to chill. Over the course of a week we ventured out once and rushed right back. Its a W right, so you expect the team to be relaxed and personable, but this team is really magic and always happy to help. Great place, great team.

We stayed in that hotel for 2 days. This hotels is lovely, however I downgraded it because for the price I paid I would expect much better service. Pros first: Location fantastic, Sand on the beach is not super soft, but is nice and well maintained. Rooms are amazing, private pool quite large, bathroom is absolutely fantastic. Staff in the restaurant and on the beach - very nice and attentive. Food very good - bit pricy but its luxury hotel so expected. Cons: Check in was a complete disappointment. After arrival, we were welcomed by a lady who took us to the sitting area and told us someone will attend us soon. "soon" was an extremely long "soon". After some time, finally we were attended by a lady who took our passport, Credit Card and disappeared for again "quite long soon". When she came back, there was no smile on the face, not explanation what is in the hotel or where, no thank you for being loyal members of SPG/Marriott or what privileges (if any) we can enjoy due to being members, just dry statement that she will take us to the room. When in a buggy she took us to the beach and then to the room. Quite poor for a hotel that costs $$$$$ a night. Not a big deal tbh, however when you pay so much money you would expect a room, facilities and service on a top level, Another surprise for me was the fact that people from outside hotel who were walking on the beach were allowed to buy a drink and sit on the sun-beds next to us. I do understand that beach must be accessible to public (not sure if that is the law in Koh Samui, but I don't have issue with it), but having random outsides coming and going next to you I found a bit strange. Also from the security perspective it is not good. Finally, if you are SPG/Marriott member do not expect anything. We asked for an extension to 2pm and we were declined despite the fact that we have seen later that none arrived yet when we were leaving at 3pm and the hotel wasn't fully booked. Overall, I am glad I stayed in this hotel and would recommend everyone to try it for few night but I wouldn't come back there for a second stay. There are other options which are better value for money.

Wow, what an amazing experience we've just had at the W Retreat Koh Samui. The hotel exudes luxury and has a vista to die for! Our private villa was the stuff of dreams! From our very own pool and sun lounge area well as day bed to the outdoor shower and large bath, everything was catered for. The Kitchen Table hit the spot every morning, with the whole coconuts a particular highlight. However, we did need to utilise the gym, Fit, as it was hard to exercise self-restraint at the buffet! The Woo Bar has arguably the best view in Koh Samui, and the cocktails aren't bad either! The Away Spa was another guilty pleasure we indulged in and would highly recommend. We didn't try the Namu restaurant, instead we opted for the BBQ buffet on the beach. We certainly weren't disappointed with our choice. One of other real highlights for us, was the sweet spots littered around the retreat. You can literally go there for an ice-cream or soft drink whenever you want! Again, we might have over indulged here as well! Having said all of this, the real feature of this hotel, is the quality of its people. All of the staff we dealt with are a credit to the hotel. Special mention to the duty manager Porch who went above and beyond for us, and to the ladies in the Kitchen Table. Overall, this review might sound like it's a promotion for the hotel and it's supposed to be. We were simply swept away with the place, and would love to return one day. If you're looking for a place in Koh Samui to relax and unwind in luxury - this is it!
