Stunning Views, Perfect Sips - No Stay Required
This place is absolutely stunning. The rooms were out of our price range SO WE DIDN’T STAY, however we came for drinks several times and it’s just wonderful. The vista across the west of the island is second-to-none, and the staff were outstanding. We did the spritz free-flow at the bar - two hours of unlimited spritz drinks and the drinks, service and ambiance were faultless.

Wonderful stay!
Highly recommend this hotel! Bunny welcomed us amazingly. The room and cleanliness were top-notch, and the service was excellent — the staff was charming and very attentive. The breakfast was above and beyond. Plus, free SUP and kayak rentals are included at the hotel, which was a really nice touch.

8 night stay at W Kow Samui
Wonderful hotel and villas, but the beach cleanliness falls short of W standards We stayed for 8 nights in September 2026 in a Superior Villa Garden View. The hotel and villas are stunning, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. My one disappointment was the beach. The coarse sand and murky water are natural conditions, so I don't hold the hotel responsible for them. Cleanliness is different, and it should match the standard expected of a W hotel. There was a lot of plastic and broken glass on the sand, which is unpleasant and potentially unsafe for guests walking barefoot. In eight days I never once saw anyone collecting rubbish from the beach. A daily clean-up would make a real difference. Overall a great stay, and it could be perfect with better beach maintenance.

We had a marvelous stay—the hotel is pristine, stylish, and beautiful. Every single detail is thoughtfully taken care of. The service is fantastic across the board, from the drivers and hostesses to the front desk, housekeeping, IT, and beyond. The restaurants are wonderful, and the gym is remarkably spacious and fully equipped. The villas are simply excellent and beautifully appointed. A special mention to our welcome manager, "P", who was absolutely amazing and made our stay extra memorable. We’ve found our new favorite place to stay, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you, W Koh Samui—it was so hard to say goodbye!

From the minute you arrive at the W Retreat Koh Samui you are met with the Wow factor. The view from the lobby is absolutely breathtaking!! The pool villas were modern, beautifully decorated & very private and had direct access to the beach. Staff were very friendly & attentive. Had the most incredible meal at Namu. Thank you to the amazing chefs who just created something special for me based on what I felt like - no menu required.

This is definitely a resort with wow factors in many ways. Besides the breathtaking view of Gulf of Thailand and the Maenam Beach, the staffs left me a nice impression as well, General Manager Nick himself gave us a personal tour introduction at the beginning which led to a wonderful stay for us at W Retreat Koh Samui. Worth coming again and again!
