Reviews for Six Senses Yao Noi

Amazing setting and great space

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Slightly off the beaten track, this resort offers amazing views either from your villa or from the hilltop main pool. The villas are very large and comfortable and allow you to hang out for parts of the day (even though the villas do need some doing up, which is taking place). The resort is large and never feels crowded and has a very relaxing feel. The service is excellent (even though sometimes things get lost in translation) and the concierge was fantastic and very helpful (thank you Margie!). The food options are good (Thai restaurant better than the others), but lacked any wow effects - though the chef table was outstanding and is highly recommendable. Also, I'd recommend doing a boat trip which can offer excellent snorkelling or picnic at remote beaches. Overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable week in one of the most beautiful settings.

Amazing hotel with out of this world views

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The most amazing hotel - we have already booked to return next year. The location is absolutely stunning, the service is amazing, the staff are very friendly and the food and drink is great particularly the breakfast buffet but every restaurant is stunning The villa was incredible and the views are unreal. We did leave with a rather hefty bill for food and drink but it was worth it I would also recommend the hotel organised speedboat trips to Kho Phi Phi which was great. The only slight negative were mosquitos but it was manageable and hasn't put us off going back at the same time of year Special thanks to Napsim for all his help.

Thank you staff

The hospitality is remarkable even by Thai standards. The whole resort was staffed with people who were friendly and hospitable. The GM , Mr Sameer Kapur went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Both he and the GEM , Ms Kat were very helpful. They ensured that our passport pouch which was left behind when we reached our next hotel , Anantara , Ko Yao Yai, was sent over by boat and taxi. Remarkable ! Chef Dawa was every breakfast at our table , trying to cater to our vegetarian needs. Overall a lovely experience. Thank you. The swimming pool is very small and surprisingly closes at 5 pm which is very odd for a resort. Vivek Mundra

Dilapidated resort with complete lack of management - IHG shame on you!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This is a Dilapidated resort and it’s absolutely scandalous that this is a six senses resort. There is a complete lack of management / no site of the general manager during our 5 day stay. Complaints are not managed and guests are lied to. This hotel is a scam! The rooms are like basic huts, no maintenance for at least the past 15 years. Please do not go here and waste your holiday as you will be so disappointed. The resort is not maintained at all, everything is old, but really old. Rotting stairs, rotting tables, the floor boards of the terrace are coming loose. Inside the room everything is basic, it’s like Thailand 20 years ago but then at steep 5 star modern hotel prices like in NYC. I can only say negative things about the entire place. What a scam, honestly what a scam … I have no words for this kind of robbery. Nothing against the local staff as they are doing their best and they are lovely, but where is the general manager in all of this, hiding from his guests …,IHG shame on you! Rest assured that I’ll take this up the chain. That is all I have to say.

Luxury family retreat in the jungle

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This resort offers an exceptional experience with its luxurious accommodations and amenities. Family of 4 visited late March 2024 with a double villa, private pool and jungle view. Space for everyone to stretch out and the accommodation invites you to spend siignificant time. Apart from lacking updated TV, USB data ports the Wifi worked well across the property. We slept well and the pillow menu was a nice touch. All toiletries provided and of good grade. Hilltop pool is the protagonist with its stunning views and they don't disappoint. Wish I could say the same about the Hilltop lunch menu - quality of ingredients were great but the offerings resembled "bar snacks" rather than "lunch" and the pricing is steep for what you get. It's a shame the pool area closes at 17hr. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Loved the optional coffee roasts. Collecting your own fresh egg from the allotment and then have the chef cook it was a positive gesture. To move around the resort you mostly need a buggy and this is request-able via their app. Normally the wait is less than 10 mins but we experienced up to 20-30 mins due to max occupancy. Bicycles are free to borrow and I recommend exploring the island. Island is mostly flat except for 2 short ramps and safe. Getting out with the kids was fun and afforded us to taste some local restaurants and bars. The boat transfer to and fro the resort along with the land based van service was top shelf service and worth it. Customer Service was 5* all around and found no faults. Everyone provided correct level of attention and personalised support. The lady "June" was professional and did a great job. We requested a quote for an excursion through the app and unfortunately the hotel could not provide us a trip in time so we booked locally and worked out well. The beach area is nice and swimmable, except for when there are jellyfish (no fault to the hotel). Our experience was memorable and recommend this resort. The two bedroom villa was a wonderful retreat and the in room dining was affordable and plentiful.
