The Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows

Beautiful, worth the price, everything was taken care of. The rooms were comfortable and welcoming. The food and restaurants were delicious and carefully crafted with a Hawaiian Flair. If you haven't experienced the beautiful open air lobby, then definitely go and stay at the Mauna Lani.

Everything about our stay was fantastic - unparalleled service, friendly and helpful staff, amazing dining, and hotel design was so thoughtful and convenient. We also travelled with another family - kids same age as ours. The husband of this family is in a wheelchair, and the staff could not have been more accommodating to this. They even had a beach wheelchair at the ready! It was fantastic.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection. We booked an Oceanfront Room for an extra-special occasion, and it delivered in every way. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and watching the light change over the water never got old. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome, not in a scripted way, but in the warm, effortless Hawaii way that’s hard to fake and even harder to forget. Every interaction felt thoughtful and personal. The restaurants were excellent across the board, and the Market was a standout for quick bites, coffee, and anything we didn’t know we needed until we were already craving it. Quality, consistency, and convenience all nailed. Mauna Lani strikes that rare balance of luxury that feels relaxed rather than stiff. It’s refined without being pretentious, indulgent without being over the top. We left already talking about when we’ll be back, which says everything. Highly recommend for anyone celebrating something special or simply wanting an exceptional stay on the Big Island.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. The hotel and grounds (landscape, pools, beach) were beautiful. The service was excellent; personnel were always pleasant, timely, and often took extra steps to treat us well. All the restaurants had excellent food and service. The Canoe House was by far the best hotel restaurant we had ever dined in. In fact the Canoe House was on a par with the best restaurants that we have eaten in anywhere.

This is my fourth stay at Mauna Lani. Everything was lovely as usual -- room, beaches, food, service. I especially recommend the sunrise yoga with Maia, a wonderful teacher. And if you can come off season, early December proved quiet and low key -- so relaxing.
