Beautiful, grounds, great service and staff. Rooms were average, on the tired side for a 4 + star hotel.

I believe this is one of the only two 5 star resorts on the island, and it's definite looks that way. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the pools, private beach, dining amenities are amazing. It's located away from the popular public beaches so the beach has less people, a great plus. It's also conveniently located to the starting point of the heritage trail nearby along the golf course, so that's another activity to do without having to drive anywhere. The lobby area is amazing with lots of courtyards and lush gardens. The hotel room itself is a bit dated, you can tell the carpet along hallways are a bit dirty and the design of suite interiors have some age to them. I am not sure when this was built but you can tell. The hotel grounds are very well kept so it hides the age very well. I also find this part of the island tends to be more sunny and away from the rain (during our 2 week stay here at least) so it was very beautiful during our stay.

What a great place to stay. Room was beautiful and the service was excellent. You could never leave the property if that’s what you wanted. But if you do leave it is convenient to so many places. Great convenient self-parking too.

We were on Kauai for vacation and to visit our son and decided to stay at the Grand Hyatt even though we haven't stayed there before. We loved the location, quiet and at the end of resorts on the road in Poipu. Terrific restaurants and staff. Loved the pools and lagoon. Great views from our room and we had morning walks on the long beach path looking at turtles surfing in the waves.

Had a wonderful 5 days at Grand Hyatt Kauai. Spent a lot of time at the lovely pools. Service was great and the pool servers were attentive. Parking is free and check-in was a breeze. I'll definitely be back.

I spent a week at the Grand Hyatt Kauai and it is an exceptional hotel. The hotel looks like it was built into the side of a large hill on the Pacific. The service was excellent our entire seven days.
