Wonderful Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and it was such a great experience. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I could feel how warm and professional the staff were. Since my booking included Club Lounge access, one of the staff kindly took me to a special counter in the Club building for check-in. Everything was explained clearly, and I was even upgraded to an Executive Suite, which made me really happy. During my stay, I received a sweet welcome card and some nice treats. The room was always clean, and the housekeeping and turndown service were both excellent. The bathroom with white marble looked elegant, and the bed was super comfortable. I also tried their spa, which was amazing and helped me relax after a few busy travel days. Overall, everything was wonderful. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would love to come back again.

Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur : Disappointing Stay Despite Prime Location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The Good? LOCATION - 5/5 Located at the back of Bukit Bintang Walk (extremely chaotic and busy street). Super convenient, walk to Bukit Bintang Walk via the indoor connected hallway between the hotel and Starhill mall. I like it that we would not be slammed with people in front of the hotel while waiting for our private hire transports. The area around the hotel was quiet and peaceful compared to those hotels off Bukit Bintang Walk. The Bad? SERVICE 2/5 Super mediocre and was shocked this property is a Ritz-Carlton. I emailed the concierge weeks before our visit, told them it was a weekend trip to celebrate our sis' birthday. The head concierge replied my email and asked what I wanted in the most condescending way. Again, shocked that this was the head concierge representing the Ritz-Carlton. I then replied that when a certain Conrad knew a trip was for my birthday, the concierge there made suggestions of where I could eat and what to do. Even suggested to prepare me a small cake. The same concierge then "suggested" a list of fine restaurants with a number of restaurants located inside the hotel. It was clearly a "cut & paste" effort on their part, since the "list" mentioned I had asked them to suggest a few bars, which I did not. So "luckily" they tried to put in an effort to do something nice. After we checked in and arrived at the suite, we saw staffs inside our suite. It was weird for us to walk into the suite with the staffs trying to blow balloons and decorate the dining room area. On the table was also a very very tiny cake which was poorly made. Still, for that effort, I bumped the service rating from a 0 to 2. It was almost unbearable knowing the Ritz-Carlton in Kuala Lumpur was more like a 3-4 star property. SUITE 3/5 The suite was humongous! There was a dining area, a living room, a kitchen (with refrigerator, dish washer, microwave, oven and stove. The appliances were very mid), two bedrooms, three bathrooms and one study room. The is a powder room outside the master bathroom. Dented trash bin in the kitchen, damaged mirror, the door knobs in the closets were all crookedly assembled and in bad shaped, with the furnishings looked so old throughout the suite. The entire suite desperately in need of an overhaul. A major overhaul! Again, we were shocked this was a Ritz-Carlton property. So that was my take of our weekend stay at the Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur! Extremely disappointing! PS. This is an overdue review. Date of stay: July 26-29, 2024

A truly delightful afternoon tea for two!0

I want to write this review for the fine service and outstanding experience I had with the staff members of the Lobby Lounge today under the guidance of MrSiva. I booked a high tea last week and the process was seamless and stress free. The booking was made and the tea excellent. Everyone was very nice and welcoming, but even more impressive was the service. The staff who were Siva, Razif, Rohaya, Maria and Chen were nothing short of flawless. The evening was a true pleasure and we enjoyed our time thoroughly. Thank you we will certainly be back. You took care of us very well.

From check in to check out amazing service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

From start to finish it has been amazing, we were only in the city for 2 nights as we were transiting from China, we booked the 2 bedroom suite and it was huge, with separate living are, dining, kitchen with plenty of storage and bedrooms were a great size, only thing was breakfast could have had more options food wise, more cereal choices and more berries in the fruit section, location of the hotel is great right near the pavilion mall, you can walk through the hotel and come straight outside the mall, from check in to check out it was been a very pleasant stay
