Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa

This hotel is located in an unexpected location, walking distance to UCSB, perfect if that's where you will be visiting. The most memorable detail is the landscaping throughout the hotel, it makes you feel like you are at a luxury European ranch. We spent a day at poolside and Andrea was the most amazing host, she made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us frequently. There is a bar and food service which is super convenient. I would definitely stay again when in the area.

We were in town for UCSD graduation and the location was perfect for a stroll over to the ceremonies. The standout feature of this hotel are their employees. The valet, bell hops, front desk and lobby bartender gave exceptional service. Hands down, this is the best service I have had at any hotel and I travel extensively! This is saying a lot considering they were completely booked. The grounds are impeccably groomed and gorgeous. Our room was clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated. The suite was spacious enough for us to have 8 people in it for a drink before dinner. Although the balcony opened up to the courtyard, the room and hotel were very quiet. Pool and gym were on the small side but were functional and perfect functional for a quick workout and dip in the pool. As far as value, you get what you pay for here. Room prices reflect the level of service and room we chose. I would highly recommend this Hotel and hope to be able to stay here again in the future.

In a word exceptional! All encompassing. The pre trip planning and reservation with Florence at front desk service, professionally accommodated our every need and made this trip a happen. Each employee on arrival greeted with a smile and greeting throughout our stay. Every thing is clean and attended too. The grounds and seating areas are perfect to relax. Easy scenic access to La Jolla Shores & Cove. Highly recommended .

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the level of hospitality was exceptional. A special thank you to Florence, who went above and beyond to make every detail feel thoughtful and personal. From a room upgrade to special treats waiting in the room, every gesture made my sister feel celebrated and loved. There was also a small issue with food service at the pool, and the staff handled it quickly and graciously, turning what could have been a negative experience into another example of outstanding customer service. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Mustangs & Burros, which was delicious and a wonderful part of the celebration. One of the best parts of the weekend was spending a relaxing Sunday afternoon by the pool with just a few girlfriends. As busy moms, having a kid-free afternoon to unwind together was truly the icing on the cake. The property itself is beautiful. The lush grounds and gardens were especially appreciated by my sister, who loves gardening. The entire resort feels peaceful, welcoming, and impeccably maintained. What impressed us most was that we visited during a very busy UC San Diego commencement weekend. Despite the hotel being full, we never felt overlooked or like our celebration was any less important. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our stay special. We didn’t have a chance to experience the spa this time, but that just gives us another reason to come back. Even though we live in San Diego, Estancia La Jolla provided the perfect staycation experience. We left feeling refreshed, celebrated, and already looking forward to our next visit. We enjoyed our stay at Estancia! The property is beauriful and so relaxing and serene. We loved the gardens and whimsical atmosphere. It's very dog friendly too! The rooms on the first floor actually led out to a green space and had a small patio area-which was convenient. The hotel made sure to keep the grass clean and everything was well-maintained. It was nice having two on-site restaurants and a casual coffee bar too. What really sets this hotel apart from others is the staff and customer service! Everyone from the valet, front desk, spa staff, to the bartender were fabulous! They went above and beyond to help us and make our stay comfortable. They offered help when we needed it and were profsssional and courteous. The front desk quickly checked us in and took the time to talk about the property and help us get situated. They even gave us another drink when my husband spilled his-without asking. The spa was great too! The massage was one of the best that I've had! Most of the massage therapists there have over 30 years of experience and it shows! The spa is being renovated but it was still a relaxing experience and they made up for it by discounting and comping our services. The spa relaxation room was so comfortable that I could stay there all afternoon. I will defintely return. The only things that can be improved upon is the bedding - which could be more comfortable for a four star hotel, and that the Estate suites don't have two queen size beds as an option. There also needs to be more signage since it can be confusing navigating around the hotel. Otherwise, it was an amazing stay! The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was nice. We can't wait to return next time we are in San Diego!
