Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa

Estancia is our go to family staycation. This time we chose the grand Ballroom for our 25th anniversary dinner with 80 guests from across the U.S. and brunch at Greenfinch on Sunday morning with half of that crowd. Everyone was delighted especially because of the most excellent service and pleasant guidance from Carlos, Maddie and Karina, our awesome team! They delivered perfectly everything we asked for, and they even anticipated snd provided what we did not think of, They pleased everyone with being right there when needed yet allowing everyone quiet enjoyment. Our guests love the large prawns which wass an endless appetizer. The dinner was memorable and the brunch was outstanding from the buffet. We're grateful for this opportunity to celebrate our lifetime milestone with beloved family and friends in our beloved Estancia. Thank you. and see you again soon!

Lovely two-night stay. Rooms are pristine. Staff is wonderful. Food is very good. However, the pool is outdated and never enough chaise lounge chairs and towels! For the price, one would expect to not have to wait an hour for a lounge chair and two hours for a clean pool towel. There simply is no excuse! If Estancia would build a newer, bigger, prettier pool along with enough chaise lounge chairs to fit with their guest count, this place would be a 10/10!

This was a perfect getaway with clean rooms and a stunning venue. Lorenzo assisted us in choosing some special local spots for dining and exploring. Love it!

The Estancia facility is beautiful, well maintained and exudes comfort but the staff is what makes the hotel, restaurants and pool top notch! We also attended a wedding and welcome party at the venue - perfection on every level!

We stayed at Estancia for almost a week, along with family and friends, to attend a wedding there. I cannot say enough, nice things about the hotel, the staff, the service, or the event itself. It is as close to a resort experience as one could get in a city. The hotel and grounds are like nothing you see in regular hotel. The grounds are beautiful and provide opportunity to walk around and commune with nature. Although I believe the hotel is old, everything has been updated with high-quality finishes. The accommodations are roomy and the rooms overlook the beautiful grounds. There are multiple spaces to have a meal, a cocktail, and to sit in comfortable surroundings. There are multiple outdoor spaces to sit around a fire pit and read or to gather with friends. Although I was told the hotel was almost at capacity, it never felt crowded. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The location is great and it did not take long to get to other destinations. The wedding event was superb – great, space, great ambience, great food, etc.
