Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa

Hands down - Estancia is the BEST place to go when you and your family need a wonderful hotel to stay at to celebrate important life milestone like your kid's graduation from UCSD! Not only is it just across the street from the campus (no struggling for parking on Graduation day)... the hotel is a beautiful and world-class place to be. Restaurants are superb, and the staff are warm, attentive and provided mush-appreciated personal celebratory touches for our stay at the Estancia.

Absolutely loved this hotel. I desperately needed a 2 night hotel stay to rejuvenate as I am a caregiver for my mother for the past 3 months. From the moment we pulled up to the hotel we were treated so well. The two desk clerks are Rein and Florence were amazing. They were so kind and wonderful. Our room was upgraded to a garden view suite. Beautiful room. Extremely clean and perfect in every way. The grounds are just gorgeous. The buildings are Hacienda style with beautiful outdoor seating areas on the property. I am not a pool person but needed to decompress so I did spend a few hours at the pool. Loved that each lounge had an umbrella. It was just perfect with food and drink service at the pool. The only shortcoming, and it’s a minor one, was the breakfast. For such an upscale hotel we thought the food fell short. The restaurant setting was lovely and were able to eat outdoors. But the food was just OK. But in the end, I would go back in a second. And I do plan on going back there. The location was perfect, Torrey Pines area. And, I just totally loved being there. Next time I am going to try their spa as I heard it is very highly regarded. Honestly, I can’t wait to go back.

We had stayed at Estancia previously because our daughter was a student at UCSD and it was very close to her college. Even after she moved out of her dorms, we continued to stay at Estancia every time we visited her. It's a quiet lovely hotel very conveniently located. Definitely recommend.

Perfect location next to UCSD. Beautiful grounds. Excellent customer service. Clean rooms and pool. Amazing breakfast at the restaurant. A very nice experience.

If you don’t get a chance to see Phil and Gabriela at the bar pool you are missing out! They are easily the nicest and most accommodating people at the hotel. We loved the rest of the hotel, with its beautiful landscaping and calming atmosphere. They are so family friendly and we have had the best week. But seriously Phil is an Estancia La Jolla Treasure. Gabriela is a saint. Love this place!
