Huge Disappointment

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 21 hours ago

Beautiful grounds and perfect location. Everything else is not worth it. There was a heat wave and the resort was not equipped to handle the heat and humidity. There was zero AC in the hallways and it made it unbearably hot and stuffy. The rooms are very tiny and there is only one spot to place luggage so the rest has to go on the floor. The only bedside table is in the middle meaning the people sleeping on the other side have no place to put their phones, eyeglasses, etc. The only chair was this weird hybrid school like desk chair. There was no sofa. All the restaurants had long waits for no apparent reason as there were plenty of staff present. We had to get an extended checkout time to noon because it took so long to get a table for the Sunday brunch. They literally ran out of food by 11:45am and did not bother restocking. I may give this place another chance, but was sorely disappointed. I was expecting the Montage and Pelican Hill type resort.

Breakfast of belonging

We had an amazing breakfast experience with Karina. She went above and beyond to make my husband and I feel welcomed, plus the food was delicious. Thanks, Karina!

never informed in advance of planned power outage

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Unbelieve that, rather than notify guests as soon as the hotel learned there would be an all-night power outage, they said nothing and waited until I physically arrived at the property. Had they simply messaged me in advance, I could have avoided the wasted trip as of course I cancelled and went to a different hotel nearby that was experiencing no such issues

Luxury Retreat

Very relaxing environment, with top-notch amenities like a salt water pool, and everything you need on premise. Walking distance to a naturalist beach.
