Outstanding, friendly, and attentive staff who were genuinely kind to talk to. Check-in and check-out were smooth, but be sure to review your folio if you’re using AMEX benefits to avoid any surprise charges. Our stay benefit got us a beautiful room upgrade with a peaceful garden view near the pool, plus spa and daily breakfast credits and free Wi-Fi. The spa services were a highlight. We booked multiple massages and facials during our stay, and the staff was top-notch, especially Ohn (spelling?) who completely redefined what a deep sports massage should be, and the Persian (I think?) esthetician who gave one of the best facials I’ve ever had. The spa was relaxing and serene, and we loved using the amenities beforehand. I just wish I could have shared that part of the experience with my wife, and if there had been a dry sauna, I probably wouldn’t have left. Mustangs & Burros has a great atmosphere and a beautiful outdoor patio with soft lighting, perfect for dinner. Skip the sea bass and go for the steak instead. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the manager was kind enough to offer dessert for a short wait, even though we didn’t feel it was long at all. Finally, Phil from the pool staff was awesome. He took care of us on our last day and even comped a drink for my birthday—completely unprompted. Really appreciated how he and the front desk made me feel celebrated. Thank you! Overall, Estancia La Jolla delivers an elevated experience with friendly service and a great mix of comfort and charm. We’ll definitely be back.

Our experience was wonderful thanks to the amazing staff! Odalie was an incredible bartender…friendly, attentive, and made excellent drinks. Mr. Hope, the GM, was so welcoming and made sure we felt right at home. And Joe Cool, the engineer, came to the rescue when the TV in the bar wasn’t working…he got it fixed in no time! Everyone was so kind, supportive, and genuinely caring. Truly a great team that made our stay memorable.

Joe and Mr. Hope made my experience at Estancia unbelievable. Can’t thank them enough for all they do. Will definately be coming back and enjoying more time here. And to top it off, the weather was beautiful

Beautiful, good food and drinks. Walls are very thin between rooms and can hear next door neighbors clearly. Professional staff and helpful overall. Had a complaint they addressed but think one staff may have thought of us as 'trouble' but concerns were reasonable to have addressed. Disappointed when staff make you feel you are the problem. One bartender wasn't so nice - ignored me until I initiated if I could place a to go order and was dismissive even then with poor eye contact (was just giving a guest a lot of friendly conversation and then ignored me - unfortunate). These things I suspect most guests don't encounter and would feel they had a lovely time (not so good apples everywhere you go). It is minor if you look at things this way - so overall I'd say a good stay and would recommend it highly.
