Intimate, relaxing resort experience
Rooms tastefully decorated. Grounds lovely and enjoyable for strolls. Staff well trained for resort level services. Non alcohol drinks nice addition. Live music very good. Overall feel of resort and layout enjoyable and relaxing. No direct access to beach but short distance away. Walk to great bar and food while watching paragliding and looking over cliffs to ocean. Photos on website are accurate.

Phil the bartender was great! I had some work I needed to get done and I chose to go by the bar where I met Phil and he was fantastic and made the whole experience great & comfortable!

Phil was an amazing bartender. He was attentive and charismatic kept the energy flowing throughout the time we were there. Tequila espresso martini! Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, the service and hospitality were truly exceptional. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly romantic — the perfect setting for such an important moment in our lives. A very special thank you to Sofia, who went above and beyond in helping me plan and execute my marriage proposal. She was thoughtful, responsive, patient, and genuinely cared about making everything perfect. From coordinating details to helping create such a memorable atmosphere, her support made the entire experience feel seamless and unforgettable. Thanks to Sofia and the amazing team at Estancia, my now fiancée and I will always have the most incredible memories tied to this place. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we can’t wait to come back in the future. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a special getaway, celebration, or proposal destination.

Spa day with pool bar food.
My husband booked me a spa day at the hotel and I needed something to eat. The pool and bar are super close. The staff is very friendly. I sat at the bar and was quickly greeted with a smile and warm welcome. I asked for a tropical drink and the bartender, Phil, got to work. He brought over a black’s beach. It is so tasty and looks cool with the black salt rim. This definitely elevated my experience and helped me relax.
