Located in the charming community of La Jolla, just minutes from Torrey Pines Golf Course and 14 miles north of San Diego, Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa is a stylish retreat reminiscent of an early California ranch estate. The property - listed on Condé Nast Traveler's coveted Gold List and Hot List - pays homage to its rich history by emulating and utilizing materials from the original 1880s equestrian compound. The business center resembles the original caretaker's cottage, the intimate hotel lobby was created from the old farmhouse, and Mustangs & Burros, the hotel's rustic rancho-style bar, was inspired by the tack room. Even the restaurants reflect the old spirit in their design, menu concepts and gracious service.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing stay! From check-in to a late dinner just 20 minutes before closing, the staff went above and beyond. Special thanks to Nydia for a smooth, welcoming check-in, and DJ for his helpful recommendations and great service. The grounds are beautifully manicured with incredible attention to detail, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Everything about this place exceeded expectations I can’t wait to come back! *Be sure to find the wishing tree and take a ride on the bikes out front !

I had an event at the Estancia and the meeting/catering staff are absolutely amazing to work with. VERY customer service oriented, personable, and a joy to work alongside. A big thanks to Jay, Olga, Leslie, Manny, Arthur, Reyes, Jose, Marcy, Andrea, Larry, Carlos, David, Raphael, Jorge, and Aneta, you all made our conference a success.

Many areas that fell short - none of which on their own are a big deal, but when added together make this hotel a poor value and overall experience: - 2 towels and 1 bathrobe, no slippers provided for a party of 2 - had to call for more - loose wiring of bulbs inn2 lights in the room, as they constantly flickered when on - loose toilet paper holder - sugar not replenished after housekeeping - room across the hallway serviced by housekeeping at 9pm - loud talking and repetitive door slamming very disruptive, especially for recently arrived east coast travellers who were jet lagged! - everything felt like a money grab - only laundry bag available in room was a reusable one, fine, but charge of $13 to use it. The pool was lovely and setting pretty, but for us fell well short of the expected experience and would not recommend of visit again

Phil at the La Palma was the BEST bartender I’ve ever had. He was so sweet and made our trip so much fun. He was very attentive and made amazing drinks. Will definitely be coming back because of him!
