A Mindful, Elevated Lunch in a Garden Setting
Greenfinch at Estancia La Jolla is a true gem. From the moment I arrived, the experience reflected a calm, mindful, and present atmosphere that perfectly matches the beautiful garden setting of the resort. The service was exceptional across the board. Sammi and Jose offered a warm and genuine welcome at the entrance, and Karina took great care of me throughout the meal—attentive, thoughtful, and perfectly paced. Manager Anthony clearly leads a team that takes pride in both hospitality and detail. The lunch menu was outstanding. Chef Katy’s crispy skin sea bass was exceptionally well executed—perfectly cooked with a crisp finish, paired with haricot verts, organic grains, and a bright, balanced acidity from tomatoes, citrus, and julienned vegetables. It was both refined and deeply satisfying. And the espresso chocolate tart—simply phenomenal. It honestly rivals the banana crème tart at Roka Akor Scottsdale, which says a lot. A memorable finish to a beautifully composed meal. Grateful for the experience and compliments to Chef Katy and the entire team. I’ll absolutely be back.

It was our first time in San Diego. And it didn’t disappoint us. We attended a wedding at Estancia La Jolla hotel and spa. From the moment we arrived the staff were very attentive. Service was excellent. Fantastic wedding venue.
