Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa

This was a perfect getaway with clean rooms and a stunning venue. Lorenzo assisted us in choosing some special local spots for dining and exploring. Love it!

The Estancia facility is beautiful, well maintained and exudes comfort but the staff is what makes the hotel, restaurants and pool top notch! We also attended a wedding and welcome party at the venue - perfection on every level!

We stayed at Estancia for almost a week, along with family and friends, to attend a wedding there. I cannot say enough, nice things about the hotel, the staff, the service, or the event itself. It is as close to a resort experience as one could get in a city. The hotel and grounds are like nothing you see in regular hotel. The grounds are beautiful and provide opportunity to walk around and commune with nature. Although I believe the hotel is old, everything has been updated with high-quality finishes. The accommodations are roomy and the rooms overlook the beautiful grounds. There are multiple spaces to have a meal, a cocktail, and to sit in comfortable surroundings. There are multiple outdoor spaces to sit around a fire pit and read or to gather with friends. Although I was told the hotel was almost at capacity, it never felt crowded. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The location is great and it did not take long to get to other destinations. The wedding event was superb – great, space, great ambience, great food, etc.

The Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa was an exceptional place to stay. The rooms were very clean; the grounds and landscaping were beautiful. We loved the location; never had to drive more than 25 minutes to visit any of the San Diego-area sights that we wanted to see, including museums and the Zoo. Staff recommendations were spot on; when we ate at the hotel's restaurants, the food was very good. Our only complaint: the soundproofing between rooms isn't great; we could hear guests talking (even in normal speaking volumes) in rooms on either side of us. After listening to a crying baby all night in another guest's room, the hotel paid for one of our dinners and offered to move us to another room. Staff was always pleasant, friendly and responsive. Highly recommend.

The Estonia La Jolla was a fantastic stay! Our favorite part was the pool. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was exceptional! Phil our server took the best care of us. The room aesthetic was beautiful, the grounds are perfectly maintained and the overall experience was a 10 out of 10.
