Lovely 80th birthday celebration
Absolutely delightful hotel, charming, great service. Loved our ocean view suite. Especially liked that they had a golf cart that would take you anywhere in the village. The concierge, Mark, was outstanding. He made us reservations at several fabulous restaurants!

A True Gem in La Jolla
My husband and I recently stayed at La Valencia to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and our experience was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. We received a very generous and unexpected upgrade, which completely surprised and thrilled us! Our villa was spectacular, with a beautiful ocean view that made our anniversary stay even more special. The hotel staff was amazing. Everyone we encountered was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Every meal we had was phenomenal, and the presentation was beautiful. The food and service throughout our stay was truly exceptional. I would especially like to thank Grace at the front desk and Mike at the pool café. Both were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, personable, and so nice to us. A huge and very special thank-you goes to Maiven, who truly made our stay wonderful. She was so kind, friendly, thoughtful, and helpful, and her warmth made such a difference in our experience. We cannot recommend this incredible hotel highly enough. My husband and I have been fortunate to stay at wonderful hotels all over the world, and La Valencia remains in our top five hotels that we would happily return to again and again. Thank you to everyone at La Valencia for helping make our anniversary so memorable. We look forward to coming back!

Quiet Simple Luxury in an Easy Town of Beauty
La Jolla offers lots in the way of beautiful scenery, great restaurants, shopping all around, and yet similar to its place, La Valencia Hotel, the staff, and Concierge are top quality. Luckily we were treated to a historic tour of this grand ol’ place that was perfectly brief and enlightening for our stay in such privileged surroundings. It is uniquely glamorous and still humble for all people to enjoy.

Just had a great vacation! Loved La Valencia Hotel...so nostalgic and very well done! Our room was in the West Wing with two queen beds, down pillows and crisp hi thread count sheets; it was a completely refurbished room that still maintained it's history. The staff, from the moment we pulled up throughout the very end of our stay, was friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. The grounds were impeccable and in a perfect location...on one side is the ocean and the other the village. We would definitely stay there again!
