My birthday dinner at La Valencia was amazing! The food was delicious, the ambiance and ocean views were stunning, and our waiter Andrew went above and beyond to make our evening truly special. Highly recommend!

To say this staff is outstanding wouldn’t be doing them justice. We were there for 6 days. And in that time, we were always treated with smiles, positive attitudes, and tons of help. Concierge/front desk was accommodating to our requests of extending our stay, late checkout, lost items, even moving our refrigerated items from our first room to our second. As for the valets, they were quick to grab luggage, start up friendly conversation, retrieve and park our car, make us feel like royalty. One of the top hotels I’ve visited and they all made a hectic week go so much smoother. Big shout out to valet men Gabe, Colton, Nick C, Nick R, and Ben. All of my appreciation!!

Location is in the heart of La Jolla Village, but that's the only positive remark I can make. During my 1 week stay, air conditioning was out an entire night, hot water went down, rooms are extremely antiquated, room was dirty with mold in bathroom and major dust around surfaces like air vents. Internet was terrible. Streaming on the TV didn't work. Last, I have been unable to collect a copy of an itemized bill from them. I've reached out to reservations twice over the past couple weeks with zero response.

This is one of the worst overpriced hotels that we’ve stayed at. For over $1,500 for two night stays the room was incredibly small and the bathroom was even smaller. The walls were so thin than you could hear everything from the room next door. The bathroom was old and outdated. One person could barely fit in there. The shower was moldy, shower head was dirty and old, and it had no shower door because of how small the bathroom was. Our so called ocean view wasn’t even ocean view unless you viewed it at an angle. Most other hotels would could this a partial ocean view. The pathway between the bed and the desk was so narrow that I couldn’t even sit down. The mattress was used and abused to the point that you would just sink. This was one of our worst stays especially that we came here to celebrate our anniversary.

Loved this hotel. Service was EXCEPTIONAL. Close to beach with seals, shopping, and the cave. Ocean view restaurant fantastic. They even accommodated us when our flight was canceled and we had to stay an extra night without any issues.. Very pet friendly.

Just had a great vacation! Loved La Valencia Hotel...so nostalgic and very well done! Our room was in the West Wing with two queen beds, down pillows and crisp hi thread count sheets; it was a completely refurbished room that still maintained it's history. The staff, from the moment we pulled up throughout the very end of our stay, was friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. The grounds were impeccable and in a perfect location...on one side is the ocean and the other the village. We would definitely stay there again!
