First Visit to La Jolla!!! From the moment we drove up to the Pink Lady we were excited. Kate at the desk was very welcoming and Brian took care of our bags until our room was available. We were early so we had a lovely breakfast on the patio with a view of the ocean, great service. The view of the gorgeous pool below was very inviting. After breakfast we found two VERY comfortable lounges and spent our day in the sun with a beautiful breeze blowing!(NO KIDS!!!) Evan at the patio bar makes the BESt Jalapeno Cucumber Margarita's!! When our room was ready we found out we were upgraded to Villa #14 with a view of the park and the ocean. What a BEAUTIFUL room with a huge bathroom, wetbar, and beautifully decorated!! It was like being in a Villa in Italy!! We absolutely LOVE the Vibe of La Jolla and we will definitely go back to La Valencia!!!!! Such a convenient drive from San Diego airport!!!

I stayed at this overpriced hotel for 2 nights. PREPAID for the room via Expedia. Checked in and was told that they need my credit card for incidentals. 2 weeks after I checked out, I noticed 2 charged in the amounts of $440 and $7+. I called the hotel to dispute. Was given a run around. This is unacceptable and will NEVER stay at such a place. As a business traveler, I go there 2 to 3 times a month. This is the first and last time that I will be staying there. I recommend the Script Inn a few blocks away.

The hotel is excellent as many reviews already mention. But so is is restaurant. Good food that is a bit out of the ordinary. Nicely decorated in your plate with some special ingredients. Great view over the ocean when you are seated on the terasse.

Love the ocean view from La Sala at this iconic hotel. Huge glass window overlooking the ocean while sipping a glass of vino is relaxing. We were serve by a Personable waiter/bartender Kiko who always made sure that we have everything and periodically checks on us. Kiko also gave recommended places to go for dinner. Cafe La Rue in LV is also a place to check out. We had dinner at their patio which offers a different view. We watched exotic cars parked at the valet. It's like a car show. Overall great experience. A nice place to relax even just for the day. We enjoyed the ocean view at the back and street view out front of this iconic hotel. A great day trip.

We stayed here for a friend's wedding on Labor Day weekend. Their check-in time was 4pm which seemed later than usual which was tough since the wedding started at 4:30pm and we flew in that afternoon at 1:30pm to check-in and were pretty nervous we would get enough time to be ready for wedding. We were able to get in at 3:15pm so thankfully it worked out. Since it was a long weekend, we should not have been surprised they were busy and had to be patient for our room. Lovely property with a lovely front and back patio to enjoy the perfect San Diego/La Jolla weather over a meal and/or drinks. A live band performed both nights on the front patio which was a nice touch. Our room was very spacious and beautiful. Definitely an older hotel property but well maintained and classic decor.
