We saw whales, watched the sunset from our deck, cozy fire place, easy walk to all restaurants and spectacular walks along the ocean including the winter seal pupping season 2 minutes walk to the seals and you can see whale plumes from shore. The service is 5 star and so awesome. Disney on steroids. Great people!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pantai Inn. Charming with Balinese carved wood accents, flowers everywhere, located right across the road from the ocean front. There is a narrow park-like area and sidewalk along the cliff above the ocean directly in front of the hotel which is conveniently between the seal beach and the sea lion rocks. Our room- an apartment really, had living room, dining room, full kitchen, bedroom, and bath, and we had a fireplace and a view of the ocean from our couch. We were welcomed with a tray of pastries, flowers and a hand lettered welcome note. The supply of complimentary water bottles, soda, coffee and snacks were restocked daily. Everything was clean and well maintained. The Inn staff were very attentive to the little details that made us feel pampered i.e. each evening while we were out at dinner they would come in and turn the lamps and fireplace on and leave chocolates and a hand lettered card with a message wishing us sweet dreams or other positive thought. Staff were helpful and polite in every interaction. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The bathroom looked charming with copper sink, bamboo shaped fixtures, and tile accents, but it lacked counter space for toiletries. The shower with two rain shower heads was great except it splashed water over the entire bathroom floor because of the way it was designed. Those were small complaints and would not stop us from recommending this place wholeheartedly!

The location is right next to the park with a beautiful view of the water. The breakfast buffet each morning was delicious with really nice choices. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The beds are extremely comfortable although the furnishings in the living room were somewhat dated and the carpet and paint colors a little dull. These things were easily overlooked based on the location and view and not spending a lot of time in the room during the day.

We loved the Pantai Inn and were there for 6 nights. Can’t say enough about how great the staff were—welcoming, responsive, and making sure our stay was perfect. The “room” is a really a small 4 room apartment/cottage. The Inn does many small things that make your stay even better, e.g., a platter of treats on arrival, stocking the kitchen with snacks, water, and pop (no charge for these items) in addition to coffee and tea. Turndown service so that when you return in the evening the gas fireplace is on, chocolates left on the bed, and bottles of water set-up on the nightstand. Location is fantastic—cross the street and you are on the beach. Walk a few blocks and you are downtown at the restaurants and shops. Breakfast (included) is served from 7-11 am so there is no need to rush if you like to sleep late and it has a broad selection of items. Highly recommended.
