Pantai Inn

The location cannot be beat! Right across the street from The park, sea lions, harbor seals, swimming and snorkeling. There is no pool though, and the ocean is cold. We really loved the inn. However, if sand gets on your nerves, I’d avoid the rooms fronting Coast as the wind blows sand onto your patio, which will get tracked into your room. For me, it was a minor inconvenience well worth falling asleep and waking up to the crashing waves.

We had an amazing stay at Pantai Inn! The location is perfect, conveniently located right next to the beach, making it so easy to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming and truly made us feel at home. You can tell they genuinely enjoy working there by the way they treat their guests. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay special. The rooftop was one of our favorite spots to relax, unwind, and listen to the sound of the ocean. The breakfast was also delicious and a wonderful way to start the day! Our room was small, but absolutely adorable, comfortable, and very clean. We also loved the convenience of the golf cart service, they took us wherever (within a mile) we needed to go, which was such a nice extra touch. We would definitely recommend staying at Pantai Inn and would love to come back!

Wow, so much love in the customer service and location of this La Jolla hotel… literally the most prime location for a La Jolla stay, right along the scenic coastal trail. There’s a staircase that’s quiet and well lit that leads directly up to all the restaurants and shopping. This property is meticulously cared for, from the beautiful garden and water features surrounding the property and common spaces to the rooms and again, the service! Shout out to Travis who dropped us off and picked us up with the golf cart when we needed a lift from walking around in the heat. Shout out to Norma who helped us with anything needed overnight like toothpaste and laundry service, and Rosemary for getting our room completely refreshed on our third day. Shout out to Edwin and Antonio who helped us get squared away on our last day:) The commitment to helping out across the whole team was truly refreshing. So much value and love from Pantai Inn — we will most definitely be returning for another stay soon!

We love the Pantai Inn and go there every year for our anniversary. Edwin and Norma are so wonderful to see each year and this year we added Travis to the pack! We get the same room with wonderful views of the coast and we can hear the waves from room. Lots and lots of places to walk, eat and just have a wonderful, relaxing experience. Edwin is the best Manager there is-rooms and whole hotel area are clean and welcoming and we can't wait to see you guys next year. Jackie & Gary G

I was surprised when we were taken to our room, went to the end of a hall, and opened the door to a full ocean view!!! I can’t compliment the staff enough - every step of the process was met with kindness and smiles. It’s invaluable being next to the ocean, especially since the hotel has private parking lots. This place has been worth every penny, not only for its service and the lovely rooms, but being right next to the beach has made for an unforgettable vacation for us.
