We went for 1 first anniversary celebration and it was the perfect location, the hotel is situated in the exclusive area of La Paz, just 5 minutes from everything, but at Costa Baja you have the marina, beach club, restaurants, mini market with a spectacular beach and stunning sunsets. The hotel offers transportation between all these locations which makes your stay more comfortable. We offer a special thanks to Martin Ayon who made our stay wonderful.

The CostaBaja resort will be one of our all time favorites for a very long time, I'm sure. The facilities are beautiful, well kept and maintained, and the staff were friendly and attentive, though not overly so. Our room faced the bay and we spent quite a bit of time on our balcony just watching the waves lap at the beach only a couple hundred feet away. The pools is very nice, and there were very few people in it while we were there, in late June of 2017. Anahi and Gregorio were tending the bar at the pool and both provided excellent service and conversation, going out of their way to provide us with great food and excellent drinks. They were a major factor in making our pool experience positive and upbeat. Thanks to both of them! We highly recommend this resort and plan on coming back again.

This may be the hardest rating I have ever had to figure out, because the hotel itself probably would have been at least a 4, but for every good thing there was something not so good. It started when I selected the hotel because of the adjacent golf course booking a round through the hotel website only to find out after the fact that THE GOLF COURSE WAS CLOSED! The staff was wonderful, but there is no lobby bar. The Beach Club is great and stays open until 9pm, but they don't tell you the bar closes early. There is no sundry store in the hotel, but you can take a golf cart ride to the one nearby, because it's too far to walk. Every time you found something to like about the place, there seemed to be something you didn't. They were kind enough to book me a round of golf at what looks to be the only other course in La Paz, but my GPS said it was an hour and 20 minutes away. It still was a nice stay, and we would probably stay there again if we return to La Paz, but only if the golf course is open.

My friend got married at La Paz and they choose to make the reception at Costa Baja Golf Club, the view is amazing but the air flows with strength so a coat or Jacket is advisable As for the resort itself, while I had very pleasant stay, it is overpriced in my opinion (we went there because we got a special rate because of the wedding). The pool or ocean view rooms are way more expensive than those with view to the golf course, not worth the extra $$ if you ask me. staff was very nice (except for a grumpy guy at front desk but I only ran into him once). There are golf cart that can take you down to the beach club or you can call cab if you want to go somewhere, I however would advice to rent a car. The room was clean, the WC is concealed by a door which is good but the shower is in plain view, though if you are traveling with your couple not a big deal, but could be if you are traveling with friends. The beach club is nice, it has a great view and the drinks are good as well, though there's not much to do. Pool was very very cold, and some of the beach furniture had stains so that was not pleasant, the furniture by the pool was in great condition. Resorts restaurants are overpriced IMHO, and if you got there for breakfast they'll try to trick you into getting the buffet. My advice is go to the marina and at the sea market you can get many things for breakfast, and give the restaurants there a try at night. If you are a golfer (I'm not) this is definitely the place to be in La Paz, I have friends who have tried the Golf Course and they love it, it is quite a challenge as it is in the middle of the mountain and the view is superb. Bottom Line: I would recommend this place, however it is pricey, you could get better hotels for the same price in places like Cancun.
