Service at this hotel is not good. The worst is at the restaurants. The food at BOTH Adobe Grill and Twenty 6 is terrible. While I was relaxing by the pool there were 3 gardeners using blowers, tree choppers at the same time. I called 3 times to complain. Definitely not a luxurious hotel by ANY stretch of the imagination!

My husband and I were hoping to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in a luxury resort. We were originally booked in a casita in the older section of the resort but after complaining we were moved to one of the spa villas. Both rooms were old and worn, bathrooms were not updated, furniture was damaged. The areas surrounding the pools were not maintained. Towels, glasses and bottles were never removed even after the pools were closed. The lines at registration were ridiculously long. Years ago this may have been a Waldorf Astoria resort but those days are long gone. I was so disappointed I sent a certified letter to the CEO of HIlton on April 11, today is April 26th and still no response. I was hoping someone could restore my faith in the Waldorf Astoria Brand.

The La Quinta Resort is a tranquil oasis in the heart of the desert. The 40+ acres of adobe style casitas and villas are well appointed and cozy (but not small). The fitness facility and tennis courts are excellent as are the many swimming pools tucked away throughout the property. Twenty 6, the casual dining restaurant, serves excellent lunches and dinners with patio and indoor dining options. Adobe, the Mexican restaurant, has a wonderful outdoor patio area complete with fire pits and a fountain where one can relax with appetizers and drinks. Only a short walk up the hill is a wonderful walking, running, cycling path that leads you up and around the hills.

We stayed here during Coachella. We were here to golf and the event caught us by surprise. The staff handled the influx of guests well and we did not feel that we were not pampered. There are multiple pools and hot tubs. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Not sure why there was only one lounge chair on the private patio. The views are beautiful. Be sure and walk the property. We did not dine on site as we had read other reviews regarding overpricing etc. The resort is close to a number of other places. Would love to visit again.
