Customer Service Issues

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 13 hours ago

My husband and I have been to many hotels in PS and decided to try La Quinta this Spring Break. Overall, the experience was okay. We liked the general layout and the space. We liked that their are a few places to eat plus a little marketplace. So you really don't have to leave the resort. However, our arrival and check in process was terrible. Upon our arrival, the valet service was very little to no help. They did not tell us that we could leave our car, or that it was okay to park it at the entrance. They did not offer to take our bags. Then their was a line of about 10 customers in line. We had to wait a good 20 minutes to check in. We happened to be helped by the counter manager. We asked for a room by the adult pool. He said it wasn't ready yet and they would text us when it was ready. We waited 2 hours, until the 4pm check in time and no text message. Then we went back to the counter - in which we had to wait in another line of about 10 people in front of us - they finally gave us a room. We asked for a room NOT with a view to cars in the neighborhood street. And that is what they gave us - a view to the parked cars. Plus the room was very dark in general, the king size bed was very lumpy as well. The day we checked in, I left messages with the counter manager and the hotel manager. It is now 4 days later and I have yet to receive a call back. Guests choose La Quinta Resort in hopes of receiving a stress free, comfortable, and easy lifestyle. This experience fell short and was definitely not that.

My go-to winter escape (especially if you play tennis!)

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 19 hours ago

La Quinta is my absolute favorite winter escape for a tennis vacation. Whether you are a competitive player or just looking to pick up a racquet, this resort is hands down the best place I've been for the combination of atmosphere, amenities, and access to tennis. The facilities are a 10/10 with over 20 courts that are always in perfect shape. A huge shout-out to the Tennis Director, Kevin. He runs a fantastic program. You can tell he really cares about the guest experience, and the coaching staff is high-energy and super welcoming. They offer daily clinics for various levels, as well as live ball and private lessons. A must-do is booking a session on the iconic purple and green stadium court surrounded by stunning mountains and palm trees. It’s easily one of the most beautiful places to play in the world. Very "Instagrammable." This year, I visited during the Indian Wells Tournament, which meant it was a bit busier than normal (must book clinics in advance), but the energy was awesome. We got to see a couple of the pros who were staying at La Quinta practicing on the courts there, which was very cool because there were no crowds, and we were so close! Also, if you’re visiting during the Indian Wells tournament, do not miss Desert Smash at La Quinta. It’s an amazing charity event where you can see pros and celebrities up close in a more relaxed, fun atmosphere than the main tournament, and there's an awesome after-party. Even if you aren't visiting for tennis, I recommend booking one of the top-floor Spa Villas. Having stayed at La Quinta a few times, I think it's the best section within the resort because it's quiet and has elevated mountain views. These villas also have access to what I consider the best pool on the property, a massive hot tub, lots of parking, and you're steps from the spa and fitness center.

Beautiful property, disappointing service for families with infants

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The resort is stunning, but the service did not match the brand's reputation. We stayed here for Easter weekend with our 4-month-old son. Despite requesting a crib during booking, calling to confirm the day before, AND reminding the front desk at check-in, there was NO crib in the room upon arrival. After calling twice and waiting over 50 minutes, we were told all cribs were in use and were given a playpen instead. The most frustrating part was the lack of follow-up from the staff and the zero acknowledgment of the inconvenience during check-out. While the grounds are lovely, the management needs to improve their "Service Recovery" for guests when the hotel fails to meet confirmed needs.

Amazing staff and grounds! Gorgeous

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I loved my experience here! Not only were the grounds beautiful, the staff really made my stay here exceptional. I wanted to shout out Amelia O., I've never met someone that loves her job and is passionate about a property and hotel experience more than her. She was phenomenal. Isabel V., Veronica M., Rosa D., and Adriana were all fantastic. So kind, helpful, and represent everything that this property stands for. Their hospitality was amazing. Vivian in the cafe was also so kind and Phillip in the gift shop was so fun and helpful. All of these people are amazing assets to this property and I loved my stay here.

Great service, clean room, comfortable bed, large bathroom with 2 sinks. We stayed at La Quinta Resort and Spa. The grounds are stunning with all color of flowers. Food is great, all meals. Our only complaint would be parking. It is very minimal where your villa is located. There is parking lot available but not very close. The spa is also a great place with good therapists.
