We are homeowners of longstanding at the Resort and were drawn here by the historic charm of the original buildings, nearly all of which are still in use. Morgan’s restaurant was beautifully restored several years ago and features a gorgeous mural uncovered at that time. We have applauded the attention paid to deferred capital maintenance of the lovely grounds and have been supportive of modest changes made since the Resort emerged from financial restructuring. BUT someone took leave of their senses with the lobby “renovation.” It now looks like a Hilton Go 2 or a new Hampton Inn - totally disrespectful of and disconnected from the very thing that made the Resort so special. Not every place needs to look “hip” or “modern” or just like everyplace else. This feels like corporate decision making of the worst kind - and the “local designer” hired for this job should be ashamed of this project, which even for its genre is amateurish at best. Awful to the core. Hope the hotel rooms aren’t next.

We love this property...the casitas are spacious and it's wonderful to step right out onto the patio or into the lush, beautiful grounds. The only downfall is that it's so far from Palm Springs (45 minutes because of traffic) and other sites, that if you aren't here to play golf or visit the spa, activities are limited. This negative could be easily improved by adding options like croquet, historic tours of the resort or the area, better evening entertainment or activities, lighting fires in the outdoor fireplace for s'more's, etc. Additional outdoor seating groups around the property would be nice, too. The WA Biltmore in Phoenix has enough activity you don't need to leave the property, as an example. Maybe it was the time of year that limited activities in January, but the hotel was very busy. Still, it's gorgeous.

Have stayed at La Quinta Resort & Club 3 times now and its the perfect spot to rewind and recharge. Always stay in a poolside guesthoses. Service and staff is very helpful and nice, clean big rooms, great spacious bathrooms and the pools are nice. They have a couple of decent restaurants (of different price-ranges) on site and not too far away from some malls and restaurants in the area. Definitely worth a visit.

We stayed the week before Christmas and the Lobby was beautifully decorated including a spectacular tree out front. We were upgraded to a Spa Villa Room which was upstairs with two patios and a fireplace. The view was outstanding and we had a pool right behind the building that was basically all our own. The room was quiet and comfortable. The grounds were well maintained and great for taking a walk. They have a nice assortment of restaurants.

Beautiful place that's very spread out, with gorgeous grounds and views. Flowers everyone, many public pools, great tennis courts and even pickleball courts (highly recommend trying it). Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Restaurant is very good but frankly overpriced. Only disappointment is barriers at perimeter of property that obstruct views of surrounding mountains - why?
