This was the fourth time we’ve stayed here. It’s not only beautiful but very comfortable as well. They have several pools along with a spa. The rooms are all very nice. Service in all the restaurants was exceptional.

Unfortunately, my mom was bed bug bitten 3 times. At check out, I told staff, but they didn't seem concerned. Then, I was charged for something I did not sign for at checkout. ugh. I didn't have the terrible problem with the bugs, though the beds were not very comfortable-were hard, and difficult to get up on, unless you are 6 feet tall. The air conditioner was very noisy and clanked at turn on. Ice maker was not in good working order, melted ice cubes made a glacier.

Best hotel around! All of the staff at the hotel and spa are incredibly happy and accommodating. The resort offers every service imaginable. All of the restaurants are excellent! Very dog friendly, too! Looking forward to returning!

We absolutely loved this resort. It had been years since I last visited and it was really wonderful. The room was fantastic - we had a private yard with a hot tub. Roomy, great A/C and a great shower. We had a spa package with gave us $200/day spa credit and breakfast included at twenty6. I had a wonderful massage and my wife loved her facial. Had dinner at Morgan’s - fantastic! I really enjoyed my pork chop and the setting is just gorgeous. The adult pool was really nice although they need to address the music they play. No bueno - techno awful! Otherwise, just a spectacular weekend.

I was super excited to stay at this famed property for our one year anniversary. And I must say there are lovely parts to it - some areas are beautifully kept with lots of flowers and flowing bougainvillea. All of the different casitas spread out throughout the resort are whitewashed and unique. We had above average food at Morgan’s ( The high-end restaurant) and then also add Adobe (a more casual Mexican themed restaurant). Ambience was nice and live music at both places was a great touch. The hotel room was nice - we were in a spa room near the lap pool. Not luxurious but traditional in style and older furniture. Bathroom was large but dated. So why average rating? I think because one) it’s a Waldorf Astoria. To me that’s on a level of a Ritz Carlton or a St. Regis, a property that would offer gracious, attentive service and spotless facilities and landscape. Upon check in, there was a line of several people yet only three people checking guests me this was unusual as there seemed to be six check in stations and on a Friday afternoon, many people coming in. From there check in was rushed so the agent could attend to the other guests. I explained It was our first time to the property and could they give us a map to show us around. He said hold on one second. He Put together our key card pack, stuck a map up in there and said here you go and your room is that way pointing behind us. This is where I think a Waldorf Property would distinguish itself from a regular Hilton resort — Taking that obvious next step to assist a guest who is new to your resort. It is a large resort and we had no idea whether to drive to our room or valet. So once we drove to our room (valet is free by the way) we spent ten minutes walking around trying to locate our room. Once we got settled in, we decided to hit the pool. As we began our walk, we pulled out our map to figure out where to go. Unfortunate we ended up in the area where dirty laundry goes and trash dumpsters. Luckily we ran into someone on a shuttle and asked for a ride to the pool since we were lost, and he said he couldn’t because he was clocking out. Well ok then, sorry to bother you. Again, just not the level of service I’d expect here. So we found the plunge pool, an adults only pool, chosen for peaceful relaxation. I’d read in the property guide that we needed to bring our headphones as amplified music isn’t allowed. Cool, no problem, and that’s what we came for. So we were surprised to find a full on party going on with a group of about a dozen guests with their music blaring. While we don’t mind loud music (we are in our 40s and love music) their music type (hip hop, rap) isn’t our preference so what could’ve been a nice quiet afternoon at the pool became an amped up two hours in the sun. We didn’t say anything to the employees because the other guests were enjoying themselves, but the property should’ve taken it on themselves to reinforce the rules of a public space, especially when others like ourselves are following the stated guidelines. Upon our return to our room, we found some other pool areas. And I was honestly shocked that we were on the same property. The pool and spa area was dirty and not well kept. And the grass was brown and muddy. See attached pics. To conclude, we had a disappointing stay at what could be an incredible property. Poorly trained staff, poorly kept public spaces and poorly enforced rules....bummer :-(
