Was part of a group of 12 guys there in May 2017.....some of the staff were very staff as well as check in/out as well....very disappointed with some of golf course staff especially one of the marshals who was on us 3 times in a space of 4 holes telling us to pick up the pace....each one of those times we were standing there waiting for the group in front of us as were were for almost all of the round...3rd time I had a "discussion"with him and he told me that the group 3 ahead of us was slow and he needed us to keep on the group in front of us ??? My suggestion was for him to be have this chat with that group instead of us. As well..we had other employees drive up behind us while we were teeing off laughing and talking....they came up from behind...then drove through our golf carts...then crossed in front of the tee box and carried on down the fairway like we were not even there.....ok....I am trying to not be a grumpy old man here but the point is there was zero etiquette and in my opinion these two incidents show that management needs to look at spending some time to explain two things : * the guests (there for a week ) need to be treated better than that * The staff need to be trained better....I am sure the marshal was a golfer but the other staff I would guess were not so I don't feel it was their fault....these were just a couple of examples we ran into as a group and were significant enough that we will not return Avoid buying in the pro shop!....I bought a dozen be clear...middle grade not the pro v"s or anything...srixon....63.00....only sell them by the sleeve is what I was told....saw the same balls next day for 22.00....I can afford the 63.00 but I don't like the feeling of being taken advantage of rooms were ok but you know that saying....damn with faint praise ! and we were in the Casitas which is supposed to be their best. Owners should be looking at their management here ...corporate culture needs attention starting with upper management. We played the Stadium and Nicklaus courses..great tracks

La Quinta is a beautiful property. We booked this trip for a quick getaway. Wish we could have stayed. I liked our room, but the mini fridge was a bit noisy. Food on site was good and service was outstanding. Next time we'll stay a bit longer..

The accomodations were fine but not what I would expect given the price. The hotel personnel were very pleasant and the grounds are very well maintained. The service at the restaurant was a bit too slow.

Stayed here 8 nights at the end of April / into May and I'm finding it hard to rate, honestly. The rooms were mixed. I understand what they're 'going for' keeping them rustic and original, but could definitely have some updating of certain areas. Really, the rooms were no nicer than any average 3 or 4 star hotel. Our beds were very comfortable, but our friends had to change rooms as their bed had a giant dip in the middle. The grounds were immaculate and they obviously spend alot of time keeping them that way. It's a very big resort, so expect quite a bit of walking! The workers in the golf carts are more than happy to provide a lift, though, if you see them. Food in the two restaurants (Adobe Grill and Twenty6) was very good. We were here for a conference and the breakfast food was just ok. Certainly nothing great, and no variety over the entire week. Dinner service was good. Staff, for the most part, were great. Everyone from servers to the bell hops to the people cleaning the rooms. All were very friendly. Can't say enough good things about 99% of the workers we met. We just ran into a bit of an issue at the end of our stay, where there was some questions about our bill. We talked to the front desk 2 times and received 2 different answers. And then a 3rd answer as we were checking out (at 4:00am). I asked the front desk person to call me later with an answer and email me a copy of my bill. Neither was done. Days later, I emailed the manager of the front desk with my concerns and never heard back. That's never a good thing at an apparent top-level hotel. Overall, I'd give it a 3 1/2 stars, but since we can't do 1/2's, I'll push it up to a 4 based on the grounds, the golf courses, and the staff.

La Quinta was a little disappointing. The first night we arrived late and tired and ordered room service from their very limited menu (lots of on site restaurants - why so limited?) and it took an hour and 15 minutes, and a few phone calls, to arrive. Rooms were quite large but no place other than beds to sit. Would have liked a few chairs or even a sofa. Prices were high, especially when they tacked on all the service fees. On the plus side - the bathroom was excellent, toiletries were great and the onsite restaurants that we tried the second day were great. The small pools outside the casitas were nice but it was pretty far to a pool where you could actually swim laps. Would I return? Unsure - I would look at a few other places but I wouldn't rule it out. On a side note - I wonder why so few top rated hotels have night lights? That is a touch I really appreciate when traveling.
