Just had an awful experience with the resort. Booked a Stay and Play package for mid-October. Package was sold and is still being sold on their website as having access to 5 golf courses. Only 2 are available due to course maintenance. No advance notice notice about this. Calls to resort yielded nothing in the way of resolving this issue by finding other courses in the area or by offering to compensation us for this. False advertising should not be an issue for a resort on the level of La Quinta. Have been going there for years, beautiful resort, but never again. The customer service levels seem to have fallen in recent years. Staying at Westin Mission Hills instead.

Very classy sprawling resort built in 1926. Old world charm. Many types of rooms to choose from. Lots of pools throughout property. Staff is attentive and polite. When we stayed lawn was brown but still beautiful resort. Amazing golf courses to choose from. Down side, children were allowed to run amuck through property. Adult pool got a little out of hand. We still enjoyed our stay.

Seldom do we find a resort full of beautiful, well-kept scenery and a cheerful, dedicated staff to go along with it. Apart from the desert hot summer weather, which is completely out of their control, everything in the resort was outstanding. The diligent personal concierge made it very easy to plan some last minute request and plan the perfect weekend getaway to celebrate my wife's birthday. The starlight casita provided the perfect setting for a stargazing and admiring the beautiful desert night sky. Upon arrival, my wife was greeted with a decadent chocolate from the hotel concierge desk. Not to mention, it was easy to fall in love with all the hotel options and amenities the resort has to offer. We took some time during the night to enjoy the beautiful water fountain located in the heart of the resort. Needless to say, we fully enjoyed our short but outstanding stay and anxiously look forward to planning our next trip to this exceptional resort.

Simple, yet elegant, this historic property has the feel of stepping back in time to a time when relaxation wasn't complicated. Saltillo and Talavera tile lined walks and staircases wind past beautiful fountains and numerous salt-water pools and hot tubs in a setting that is more reminiscent of a quaint Italian village than a hotel. The friendly staff quickly and happily took care of all of my requests from shooing away diligent landscapers outside my casita to replacing misplaced paperwork or helping me find a hat to protect my head from the desert sun. The property is beautifully manicured, yet is a constant reminder of how lush and beautiful the Sonoran desert can be. The resort has a very laid-back feel and I felt very comfortable whether chatting with the bartender at Morgan's in the Desert or swimming laps in the beautiful lap pool. Despite the overall size of the property, casitas are easily accessible and plentiful walkways quickly connect all areas of the resort. My room, a casita with a fireplace, was very spacious and boasted a large, comfortable soaking tub and separate shower while signature Waldorf Astoria bedding provided very comfortable and restful sleep. With buildings built from locally made adobe bricks, there is no noticeable sound heard from adjoining rooms, and appropriate furnishings and decorations provide a tasteful finishing touch to the décor. I certainly recommend the property to fellow business travelers as the property really provides an atmosphere that is conducive to maintaining a train of thought when necessary or relaxation when needed.

I have made La Quinta Resort a regular destination because of it's beautiful property, incredible mountain views, ridiculous amenities (40+ pools, bicycle tour, fitness facilities, coffee/convenience shop, multiple restaurants on site, tennis, spa, etc etc) and beyond exceptional service. The staff and management's level of customer service and attention is the best i've experienced worldwide. They truly are a first class operation and team, and I thank them for somehow making every experience better than the previous. Front Desk manager Brandon White is the best, Melissa Smith at check-in is the warmest welcome, and manager Anthony Kevin whom we met at the pool knows how to win over the clientele. Thank you all for your continuous hospitality.
